The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during subsequent excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also revealed several statues of Menkaure. After the tour concludes, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
