The first destination is the Giza Pyramids, where you will marvel at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world’s seven wonders, along with the pyramids of his son, Chephren, and grandson, Mycerinus. Then, ascend the Giza plateau to the panorama, the highest point, to view all three pyramids together and capture stunning photos. Prepare for an exciting camel ride in the Sahara desert around the pyramids, lasting 30 minutes.
- Valley Temple of Khafre - Visit the Valley Temple, which served the pyramids of King Chephren. This temple was a site for purification and mummification processes before the king’s burial.
- Great Sphinx of Giza - Continue to the Great Sphinx, featuring a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body, dating back to Chephren’s era. This Sphinx was created to protect King Chephren’s pyramids. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a VIP restaurant with your guide, then return to the hotel.
- Panoramic view of the Pyramids - Stop here to take photos and enjoy a camel ride.
- Saqqara - Proceed to Saqqara to see the first pyramid in history and some noble tombs.
- Pyramids of Dahshour - Dahshur, often referred to as Dahšūr, is an ancient Egyptian pyramid complex and necropolis, sharing its name with the nearby village of Manshiyyat Dahshur. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the Western Desert plateau, forming part of the pyramid fields of the ancient capital city of Memphis, along with Saqqara, Abusir, and Giza. Dahshur is renowned for several pyramids, notably Senefru’s Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, constructed from 2613 to 2589 BC.
- Dahshur Lake - A remarkable example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was Snefru’s second pyramid. It is the only pyramid in Egypt that still retains its outer layer and remains in excellent condition. Visitors can enter this pyramid, which is now open inside. (Please refrain from entering if you are claustrophobic or have any health issues, as it is quite challenging and requires good fitness.)
