- قلعة صلاح الدين الأيوبي - The Saladin Citadel, the world’s largest citadel, is located in eastern Cairo. Built to protect the city from the east and south, it served as Egypt’s governance center 800 years ago. The citadel houses many mosques, the most notable being the Alabaster Mosque. From here, you’ll enjoy a special visit to see Islamic art and a panoramic view of Cairo.
