GIZA PYRAMIDS & EGYPTIAN MUSEUM AND BAZAAR
Pyramids of Giza - Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by a tour guide. The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza Necropolis, is located on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. These structures were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also features several cemeteries and the remains of a workers’ village.
The complex is situated at the edge of the Western Desert, about 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in Giza, and roughly 13 km (8 mi) southwest of Cairo’s city center.
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, which is now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.
Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx is located on the east side of the complex. Egyptologists generally agree that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. In addition to these major monuments, there are several smaller satellite structures, known as “queens” pyramids, causeways, and valley pyramids.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, this museum in Cairo, Egypt, houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It contains 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display and the rest in storerooms. Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani and designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is one of the largest in the region. As of March 2019, it is open to the public. In 2020, it is set to be replaced by the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.
Khan Al-Khalili - Visit Khan el-Khalili, a famous bazaar and souq in Cairo’s historic center. Established as a trade center during the Mamluk era and named after one of its historic caravanserais, the bazaar district is now a major attraction for both tourists and locals. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops producing traditional crafts and souvenirs. Historically, the name Khan el-Khalili referred to a single building in the area, but today it encompasses the entire shopping district.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Saqqara (Arabic: سقارة, Egyptian Arabic pronunciation: [sɑʔːɑːɾɑ]), also spelled Sakkara or Saccara in English /səˈkɑːrə/, is an Egyptian village in the markaz (county) of Badrashin in the Giza Governorate. It contains ancient burial grounds of Egyptian royalty, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. Saqqara is home to numerous pyramids, including the Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Tomb, and several mastaba tombs. Located about 30 km (19 mi) south of modern-day Cairo, Saqqara covers an area of approximately 7 by 1.5 km (4.3 by 0.9 mi). It features the oldest complete stone building complex known in history, the Pyramid of Djoser, built during the Third Dynasty.
Pyramids of Dahshour - Dahshur (often spelled Dashur in English; Arabic: دهشور Dahšūr pronounced [dɑhˈʃuːɾ], Coptic: ⲧⲁϩϭⲟⲩⲣ Dahchur) is an ancient Egyptian pyramid complex and necropolis, sharing its name with the nearby village of Manshiyyat Dahshur (Arabic: منشأة دهشور) in markaz Badrashin, Giza.
Dahshur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the Western Desert plateau at the edge of the cultivated plain. Along with the pyramid complexes at Saqqara, Abusir, and Giza to its north, it forms the pyramid fields of the ancient capital city of Memphis. Dahshur is best known for several pyramids, particularly Senefru’s Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved pyramids in Egypt, built between 2613 and 2589 BC.
