Thankfully we booked with Egyptra. - We did two day trips from Hurghada with Egyptra. Excellent service, I can not stress this enough, and I would certainly book with Egyptra again. They take you to where you need to go. The tour guide is well informed and will provide you with the historical significance of whatever site you're visiting. They don't ask you for tips or harass you in any way. We were super comfortable on both trips. They just do what they meant to do which was really refreshing. The best excursions we had were with Egyptra. My advice, if travelling to Egypt, is to book your excursions through Egyptra instead of booking at the hotel. We booked 2 excursions with a different company through the hotel, one was good but the other was terrible plus we kept getting harassed for tips. You will not have these problems with excursions booked through Egyptra. Thankfully we booked the bigger excursions with Egyptra. The first trip was to Luxor and was amazing. We were picked up on time in a Van which was super comfortable. The drivers and tour guide were really helpful and polite. We saw the Valley of Kings, Hatchepsut Temple and Karnak temple and grounds. The second trip was to Cairo, and again we were picked up on time in a nice Van which was really comfortable for the long journey. The route there and back was really well planned out in terms of breaks and arrival time to the various locations we were visiting. It's a long trip, but it didn't actually feel that long. The tour guide again was super nice, informative and helpful. We saw the pyramids, sphinx, museum and had a boat ride on the nile. It was again an amazing day. We made some really special memories on both trips with Egyptra. Both locations were phenomenal and I cannot fully put into words what it felt to see the sites, especially the pyramids in real life.It is breathtaking.

Pyramids and Egyptian museum - Well organized tour, friendly and knowledgeable drivers and guides! The tour is recommended here! The only thing is to prepare yourself for a long day, the journey is really long! I would have avoided visits to perfume and papyrus shops, but still not invasive and well managed! We entered the great pyramid experience which I recommend but it has an extra €25 per person! The included lunch is a medium level buffet.

Fab day thank you drivers - This was a fantastic trip ! A long day but definitely worth it ! We had a pick up at 1.50 am. We were on a minibus with 4 other English and 2 polish. The drivers were great, a few stops for toilet/ snacks along route. We met the four guide in Cairo and first stop museum, before going on to the pyramids. A short stop for perfume talk too. The day was long and busy but didn't feel rushed. Optional boat guide which we thought we had included. Will check soon. . Stop for lunch. Busy venue but good food & not Ill from it ( unlike other trips we've been on and got ill). we got back to hotel at 11pm. A long day but full of history & great photos ( basics added here as keep the best ;) ) A must !

So worth it ! Ignore the bad reviews especially if your guide it’s Khaled - Wow, what can I say - what an experience. yes the journey can be tough from Hurgadha but with regular breaks and chances to get food and water on board it’s not too bad just make sure you pack headphones and a pillow or cushion to help sleep on the journey. We were picked up shortly after our specified pick up time and our drivers were excellent very chatty and funny. After what ended up being a 7 hour journey to ciaro we began in the Museum which is an impressive sight, our guide Khaled was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful who also kept us on track and gave us tips and looked after us when it came to locals trying to sell us their goods. We then followed into Linch and an optional mile boat river trip. We visited the Papryus Factory in Cairo to have an insight on the steps taken to making some Egyptian art then followed to the pyramids and sphinx, Again Khaled knew lots of best areas for photos and steered us well clear of any possible scams or people trying to over charge us on items or souvenirs All in all , our trip was excellent and worth the travel made truly special by our guide Khaled , thanks folks !

Cuts out most of the hassle - It was an excellent trip thank you. The only problems were delays beyond the company's control, police checks on all tourist buses and vans mainly. The Cairo guide was excellent, a total positive. The drivers too were top notch. Efficient and safe and most importantly some great safe driving skills when we had a blowout. I always appreciate being kept alive. And a no fuss repair. My only issue, a lengthy stop to sit through a perfume sale, but no-one objected when I skipped it. Better if you leave it off though. Tourists don't enjoy these stops, they endure them. Thanks all round.

Takes the hassle out - It was an excellent trip thank you. The only problems were delays beyond the travel co's control, police checks involving lengthy holdovers. Not probs with their docs, holding all tourist buses. The Cairo guide was excellent, a total positive. Deserves good tips The drivers too were top notch. Efficient and safe and most importantly some great safe driving skills when we had a blowout. I always appreciate being kept alive. And a no fuss repair. Also I feel the trip was great value, though that may be cos we booked at the last minute. Thanks all round.

Too long journey for too little time. - To start the van was too small for such a long trip. There were 2 drivers and while one was driving the other one was sleeping on the last row of seats!!! Neither of them informed us what was happening or how long would take when we stop on police checks on the road etc.. First stop was Cairo where we visited the Egyptian Museum, very cool, but quite rushed. We went on a little trip on boat at the Nile river that I would recommend to have a break from the hectic traffic of the city! After we headed to a fairly good restaurant near the pyramids where we had a nice lunch. we were then taken to a perfume shop which was really unnecessary. These are everywhere so not a good use of time and leave us less time to spend at better parts of the day such as the pyramids. Everyone on the trip felt this was a waste of precious time. Finally, the Sphinx and the pyramids. They are really impressive, high and magnificent. Unfortunately you can't get near the Sphinx which personally I would like to do. But it's possible to get close t the great pyramids and even climb a few stone blocks near the pyramid's entrance. You don't get a good view of the 3 pyramids together for a good shot because the smallest one is too far and you don't even get near of it. You'll need to be quick taking photos since the guide does rush you to make time for another shop you will be taken to a papyrus shop and learn about it and given tea and then pressured to buy the expensive art. The tour guide was friendly and tried to manage the time as good as possible.

Don't book! - The drivers drove very poorly, phone in hand, swaying and saying 'sorry' when they drove too fast over speed bumps because they saw them too late... gosh. The guide was also bad. He didn't teach us anything. We visited the Egyptian museum in <40 minutes, but to our greatest surprise we visited a perfume shop (it was not on the schedule) where products were pushed to you. We were here for more than an hour! Finally, on the return journey, a driver also took 2 ladies to the hotel and everyone had to wait 30 minutes on the bus... while everyone wanted to go to our hotel. Conclusion: do not do this trip with this travel company! They also do nothing about complaints/feedback and just laugh it off.
