From the Mendoza's: Mohammed was a... -
From the Mendoza's: Mohammed was a fantastic tour guide! He has great communication skills, good spoken English language, very knowledgeable about of all the sights not only Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum but also general history/knowledge of Cairo and Egypt. Furthermore, he also took us to a wonderful papryus store where they showed us how papryus paper is made. The store had a great selection of souvenirs. We also had the opportunity to visitor Oriental Perfumes which is a must for ladies, and husbands.... hint.... Our family thoroughly enjoyed our layover tour with him! From the sightseeing to the camel rides, souvenir stores, to even the picture taking. We have the best pics of all the sights along with some very creative pictures! Elwahed, the driver, did a wonderful job driving but also safeguarding our possessions in his vehicle as we were sightseeing. We can't say enough of how we enjoyed our tour because of these gentleman.

Guide Ahmed Yassin and driver Khaled were excellent - Ahmed and Khaled were waiting for us at airport. They were accommodating to our changes in itinerary (ie: no perfumery stop). Lunch was very good. Cannot beat the price/performance of this tour.

Amazing experience! - I got picked up on time by my wonderful guide H at the airport. He covered everything listed in the itinerary and did his best to ensure we had a good time and we did. Very informative, knowledgeable, helpful and flexible as well. The driver i forgot his name was also very pleasant, always opened the door and drove seamlessly thru some crazy Cairo traffic. Highly recommend this tour but ask for H

A very pleasant Layover Tour in Cairo with company of an Excellent Tour Guide! - It was just perfect and I think the most of our joyful tour in Giza and Saqqara was because of especially our tour guide, Mohamed Goda. This Layover tour is designed to have the best of Cairo in a day which is sandwiched between your travels. As we wanted to visit only Giza pyramids EMO Tours management kindly accepted to give us Saqqara and Memphis instead of the rest of Cairo (Bazaar, Mosques, Egyptian Museum etc.). Mohamed Goda, our tour guide picked us up in Cairo airport (in the most convenient way which we should except) and looked after us and all our needs very carefully, professionally and friendly. First we went to Saqqara where we had a fully informative tour of Saqqara pyramids with some surprises, special and fantastic viewing completed with reach commentary and historic explanations. Then we headed to Giza and had very amazing tour of great pyramid. After a complementary camel riding (courtesy of EMO Tours), which was very cheering with kind local camel keepers, we had an informative visit of famous Sphinx. We had to have our lunch after all of our tours of all our requested sites in order to visit all before official closing time at 4pm. But it's worth it as we went to a nice restaurant in Giza with delicious Egyptian meals. Mohamed Goda then brought us to two different workshops and souvenir shops to show us how to make Papyrus and silver crafts which were very informative and interesting. Please bare in mind that those kind of places are businesses for selling their items but there is no obligation and no harm too if you don't want to buy anything. We felt very safe and convenient with Mohamed Goda and our driver which we are thankful to EMO Tours because of managing all. Goda treated us like his close friends or even relatives. His knowledge about Egypt and its history was beyond of our expectation and everyone in our family even my six years old daughter enjoyed his comments and graphic explanation. At the end of the day he dropped us in Giza railway station where he stayed with us until he helped us to settle in our train cabins for travelling to Aswan. Though at the end of the day we missed Memphis visit because of wanting to explore other sites more carefully but the day was amazing especially Saqqara, Giza and camel riding which refreshed up everyone. I recommend EMO Tours Egypt because of their customer service, professionally approach and flexibility in order to meet their customers' needs and as I'm sure that there are many fantastic Egyptologist (as they are called in Egypt) tour guides but I wish somebody like Mohamed Goda is guiding you through your amazing Egypt history journey. We all missed him and became sorry that our ways didn't come across each other in this trip again.

A great day with Emy around Cairo - We (family of 3 + a free to roam friend) had a 1- day trip to Cairo which we booked in advance for just the 4 of us from the airport. The great about the deal was we could decide on how much time we spend on each spot and where to go. It was arranged with Emy Mustafa from Emo Tours and it was fantastic! Emy was our guide and protector, chasing away the stalking street sellers and tipping requesters - even saved us from getting ripped off a small amount by getting less in change at the boat museum… It was a safe trip on this side of things. Aside she was energetic all over and the trip with her around was much fun, while she also managed to provide plenty of interesting facts on the go. Emy is studying archaeology, which for us made the Egyptian museum a memorable visit. On the way to the pyramids we asked for a breakfast stop and she showed us the real take away breakfast in Cairo – most delicious one!! Next we got to walk around each pyramid which is usually not an option with a bigger mixed group. And as a plus, we had lunch included which she arranged to be at a new restaurant with view toward the pyramids. We got to see and learn about much more than just the classic tourism spots and spent a great day in Cairo which we want to repeat!

Our tour guide's name was Ibrahim... -
Our tour guide's name was Ibrahim Mohammad and he was the best! I didn't know what to expect from the tour but he and the driver made everything smooth and comfortable. Granted that we visited Egypt at the height of the summer when it was super hot, Ibrahim made going through Cairo a breeze. He was extremely knowledgeable with the Pyramids, Sphinx, Museum, and the busy market. He never once left us to wander off on our own and was very careful with our safety since it was two women traveling together. He had the most pleasant demeanor and his English was excellent. He even brought us to the oldest church ever built in Egypt where the holy family took refuge for three months! It was a surreal experience and I definitely recommend Ibrahim to be your next tour guide!

Thank you Ibrahim! Sorry is I spelled your name wrong, you are the best!

Good tour with Ahmed - We had a good time with Ahmed and the driver Amir. They were both very accommodating to what we wanted to do. They picked us up very promptly and we went about the itinerary on time. Ahmed was very knowledgable and very enthusiastic, he was ready to answer any questions we had. We struggled a bit to understand him as he spoke very fast, but slowing down his speech would help a lot. The price of the tour was very good, but there were added costs that we knew about, it might have been good to know the prices before hand as we didn't actually bring enough money! Ahmed was very kind and lent us the extra money we needed to go into the museum etc. The sites were all fascinating. We did struggle a little as for some reason we didn't stop for lunch? We hadn't asked for this, but perhaps as we are British and far too polite, we didn't mention it as we expected it would be soon! This meant that, although they provided some snacks, we were quite hungry by the time we were in the museum, which made it harder to go around and fully take in the experience, as well as the bazaar. We finished early as a result. Overall, Ahmed made us feel very welcome, and we were pleased with his tour, a few minor tweaks might have made it a 5 star tour!

On the one hand, Ismael our tour... -
On the one hand, Ismael our tour guide proved to be knowledgeable in the history of Egypt which we have greatly appreciated. On the other hand, the tour we thought we had signed for was a mixture of historical insight and visits of some of Egypt's marvels such as the Sphinx and the pyramids and commercial endeavors to make the tourists pay more and more as we are overtly directed into stores and cafes to name but a few that try to sell us their goods. Don't go to the cafe near the Arabic center and bazaar area as you will sure be led into a tourist trap where a mere coffee or tea will cost you 60 more Egyptian pounds. Avoid also unless you got there for that special purpose the papyrus store introduced to us a museum which it definitely wasn't. Indeed, after a minute long introduction to the making of papyrus paper you will be invited to buy samples that range from 20 to way more than 100 a piece of painting. To make a long story short, Ismael our tour guide is obviously directing the tourists into a less touristy tour of Egypt than rather into a business oriented tour of Cairo. One last place you should be cautious about: the camel ride around Giza. For a brief complimentary ride included in the tour and a picture you could have taken yourself, the camel conductor will try to get from you at least 10 which of course I refused to give. Follow the advice and don't let yourself be pushed to do things you never came here for. Dare to say no or stop or even let's get back to the right touristy track I came here for. Enjoy your tour and let the tour guide know about your intentions to discover the beauties of Cairo and nothing else from the very start. Cheers
