- Pyramids of Giza - Begin your journey from your requested location with a GEM Explore Egyptologist, traveling across Cairo to the Great Pyramids of Giza. Here, you’ll marvel at the pyramids of King Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. The tour continues with a visit to the Valley Temple of Khafre, where the royal body of Khafre was received. This temple was constructed for the mummification process of King Khafre. Finally, you’ll get an up-close view of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the Pyramids, featuring a lion’s body and the head of King Khafre. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket, and the guide will be happy to assist).
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid is the only remaining wonder of the ancient seven wonders still standing today! It was the tallest building on earth for over 3800 years. The complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site has not yet been excavated. With your expert Egyptologist, you’ll be able to explore the entire area. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket, and the guide will be happy to assist).
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Next, visit the Pyramid of Khafre, also known as Chephren’s Pyramid, the second-tallest and second-largest of the three Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza. It is the tomb of the Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre, who ruled around 2558−2532 BC.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Then, visit the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the three main Pyramids of Giza, located on the Giza Plateau in the southwestern outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It is believed to have been built as the tomb of the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Menkaure.
- Panoramic view of the Pyramids - Next, enjoy a panoramic view of the six pyramids and the city of Giza. This is the best spot for a short camel ride, where you’ll spend 10 minutes taking photos and enjoying the view.
- Great Sphinx - Spend 30 minutes getting a close-up view of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the Pyramids with a lion’s body and the head of King Khafre.
