- Pyramids of Giza - Meet the guide in the hotel lobby at 9:00 a.m. to start a half-day tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, departing directly from your hotel in Cairo. Travel to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus to explore the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one that remains largely intact. Egyptologists believe the Pyramid of Cheops (also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza) was constructed as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu over a period of 14 to 20 years around 2560 BC. During the tour, enjoy a 25-minute camel ride, and the guide will assist in capturing memorable photos of your trip. Note: There is an option to enter any of the pyramids, including the Great Pyramid or any Pyramid of Giza, as well as the Solar Boat Museum, with tickets available at the ticket office with your guide.
- Great Sphinx - Afterwards, proceed to the Great Sphinx. The Sphinx, featuring a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body, dates back to the era of Chephren and was created to guard the pyramids of King Chephren.
