- Pyramids of Giza - Begin your journey across Cairo with a pick-up from your requested location by a Gem Explore Egyptologist. The tour starts with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, including a stop at the panorama area for a short camel ride. You’ll then visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, where the royal body of Khafre was received. The Valley Temple was constructed for the mummification process of King Khafre. Finally, you’ll get a close-up view of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the Pyramids with a lion’s body and King Khafre’s head. - The Sphinx of Memphis - Located near the remains of Memphis, the Sphinx of Memphis is a stone statue made from Egyptian Alabaster. It is in very good condition and may represent the famous Queen Hatshepsut from 1479 BC.
