• Pyramids of Giza - This full-day tour includes a visit to the oldest capital in Egypt’s ancient history, dating back to 3200 B.C.

Memphis, now known as Mit Rahina, is a small village where you will explore its museum. Among its artifacts is a colossal limestone statue of King Ramesses II, originally 40ft (13m) tall, now 33ft (10.5m). You will also marvel at the massive alabaster sphinx, the largest piece of alabaster ever found in Egypt, weighing approximately 80 tons and dating back to the New Kingdom (around 1400 B.C.).

• Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - In Saqqara, you will visit the oldest complete stone building in history, the Step Pyramid of King Zoser (2700 B.C.). This pyramid marks the transition from the mastaba, the first form of royal tombs made of mud brick, to the true pyramid. After exploring the Step Pyramid complex, you will walk through the causeway of King Unas’s complex (around 2300 B.C.), observing the remnants of its paintings and reliefs. You will then explore the interior of King Teti’s pyramid and be amazed by the Pyramid Texts, the oldest religious texts in history. Your journey through history continues as you enter the tomb of Kagemni, a nobleman from 2300 B.C.

Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx.

• Mit Rahina Museum - The highlight of the day is on the Giza plateau, where you will visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops (2500 B.C.), the only remaining wonder of the ancient world’s seven wonders. You will then proceed to the panorama, the highest point of the plateau, perfect for taking stunning photos and beginning your 30-minute camel ride around the pyramids. Here, you can see the pyramids of Cheops, his son Chephren, and his grandson Mycerinus, as well as the smaller Queens’ pyramids.

Next, descend the plateau to visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren and the Great Sphinx.

At the end of the tour, you will be transported back to your hotel.
