A visit to a local farm. - This was a step back in time. The guide arranged for us to visit a local farming community where the families work the land and take produce to market on a daily basis. It was a world away from the hustle of the city even though the high-rises were there in the background.
This was a great way to spend a morning.

Cultural Experience - I based my rating on the unique cultural experience of joining a family in their own natural environment, not on amenities or expectations.
Our guide Omar and driver took us to an agricultural area where we joined a local farmer and part of his family for a large breakfast. We removed our shoes and sat on floor mats in the courtyard and ate community style with a variety of homemade foods. Afterwards we visited the stables and fields of crops. We made new friends and learned from this humbling experience. Advice to anyone interested: be brave, ask questions, ignore the flies, count your blessings.

Beautiful experience - What an amazing experience. After a wonderful week with my guide Samar, I wanted to see a bit of local life. Samar, her family and extended family invited me into their home and onto their farm. On a mat under date trees in a field of mint leaves we all ate a delicious breakfast. While the tea brewed away on an open fire, Samar and her family laid out s beautiful breakfast of home made bread, cheese, tomatoes, beans and salads served with fresh fruit. They picked mint leaves from a field and added it to the tea. It was an amazing and unique experience. I highly recommend it and would love to do it again.

Best day in Cairo ! - My wife and I are AMERICAN, and spent the day with Akmed TONSI. He goes by TONSI. This man was the best tourguide we had in Egypt.
This country is enormous and sometimes tough to navigate. TONSI came to pick us up right on time. My wife was worried about how much time things would take, but TONSI explained the distances to each place and how much time things took. His English was excellent and his understanding and explanations were superior. TONSI took us out to the farmers row. He explained how the people used the farmlands, and showed us examples how how the everyday Egyptian lived. After this, we went for lunch.
My wife and I consider ourselves adventurous, and we were. We ate camel !! TONSI brought us to a great restaraunt and helped me to understand how the food was prepared. They even let me prepare our dish(with help) !! TONSI was so helpful to explain everything. How the meats are prepared and made sure my wife was comfortable with the whole process. The food was amazing !!!
After lunch, we did some shopping and TONSI helped us to bargain for good prices and explained the differences between authentic and synthetic products. His knowledge and wisdom was a great help and we were able to get a lot of gifts at good prices.
TONSI was amazing. I never felt like a tourist. In fact, my wife and I marvelled at how we felt like we were riding with a family member. TONSI even shared some of his music playlist and took lots of pictures for/ of us. At the end of the day, he got us back to our hotel right on time and checked to make sure we didn't need anything additional. He was the perfect person for the day. We decided to book 2 more tours with him while we were in Egypt.
If you ever come to Egypt, you must book with Emo Tours and request TONSI. You will not be disappointed.
