Highlights
  • Finnieston Crane - We stop and get a close up view of the crane and the various other cultural buildings around, we would only view this from the outside
  • The Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel - As we view this from the outside, we will learn about some interesting artefacts and the historic suburb of Govan
  • The Clyde and the Kelvin - We cycle along the cycle paths of both of Glasgow’s rivers and if the mood takes us, we stop off at a couple of points along the way
  • Kelvin Hall - Take in the new cycle path past the historic Kelvin Hall
  • Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - Our guests get a close up view of one of the real jewels in the crown of Glasgow and one of the finest free museums in the world. We share some of the most interesting facts behind the building, this is an external visit only
  • Kelvingrove Bandstand and Ampitheatre - We use this as an optional toilet stop (note - we can’t guarantee it is always open!) and of course it’s a great spot for taking pictures and going down memory lane for some of the amazing artists who have performed here. This is an external visit only
  • University of Glasgow - We get up close to one of the finest viewpoints across the city and take guests right inside the famous cloisters underneath the spires. We discuss some of the most famous alumni and also some of the things that make the university unique. This stop has a bit of an incline to get there but it is entirely worth it!
This is an external visit only

Additional Information

We turn residents into visitors and visitors into residents.

We’re a homegrown tour business focused on enlightening our guests with the deep societal history of some of the most recognizable locales in the city.

We navigate using fully restored former Royal Mail bicycles, each named after prominent (and sometimes not so popular) women from Glasgow, with a hope to make all our visitors treasure the city as passionately as we do.

Our tour paths are secure and feature picturesque parks, water bodies, and make use of Glasgow’s developing bicycle trail. If an electric bike is required, do let us know, as we can usually facilitate this.

We offer tours that span both historical and modern Glasgow, touching on topics such as history, architecture, culture, and immigration.

Lovely tour of Glasgow - Saw many interesting places and learned about some of the important history of Glasgow. Got a nice feel for the city and the people that live there. You get to experience the sights in a way that’s just not possible from a vehicle.

Highly Recommend the "Fun Bike Tour of Glasgow" with Gallus Pedals - My husband and I had a wonderful time doing the "Fun Bike Tour in Glasgow". Gallus Pedals tour guide Conor was knowledgeable and the tour took us to parts of Glasgow we probably wouldn't have gone to. There was time to step inside the Kelvingrove Museum as well as see parts of Glasgow University we wouldn't have known to see. We highly recommend the tour as it is a fun way to see parts of Glasgow

Informative and fun ! - Conor was my tour guide. He was knowledgeable and courteous as we covered a large area of Glasgow by e-bicycle . Conor took in my interests and requests to customize our route , so I got to see the architectural highlights I had on my agenda.

Book it for Glasgow! Look no further… - Are you headed to Glasgow and want to have a fun-filled, guided view of a really awesome city from a local’s perspective, book with Gallus Pedals! Doing a quick search for the meaning of “Gallus” and you may find this: “Gallus is more than a just a west end pub – it’s that swagger, the strut you save for walking into a club or dancing like Beyonce (or so you think).” Oh, yes, this experience lives up to the proposed fun in the name…no doubt! You get to see a ton and learn something while having fun. Martin and his team do an excellent job in guiding you around and sharing history/current perspectives all while cruising on bicycles. (Even the bicycles have a story…) Pro-tip, the e-bikes are too fun! Necessary? Not at all, but very fun with minimal effort. No need to be a super hero on vacation (humble opinion). Martin is keen on sharing custom routes based on your feedback and encouraging visits to some of the not-to-be-missed gems in town. He has masterfully made the route as flat as possible. You will make many memories to be able to reflect upon and maybe score a t-shirt if in stock. Though the t-shirt is sweet (one of my absolute favorites), the experience beats all! What a fun way to spend time in a very cool location with the nicest people. Slange var, Glasgow!

Excellent Pedal around Glasgow! - We completed a morning bike tour with Connor - and it was fabulous! Such a great way to explore Glasgow, hit the highlights and learn the history along the way. We appreciated the small group (only 7), and Connor kept the tour moving and very interesting! Special addition - quick pop in to a few museums so that you get a quick look and can schedule a longer visit to go back on another day. Highly recommend - rain or shine!

Very good tour with excellent tour guide! - PLUS + Option to choose a manual or electric bike. + The tour guide Martin was personable, attentive and paced the bike tour to accommodate all members of the group. + Martin remembered all tour members names and where they come from. + Outstanding was that Martin made the tour personable by comparing tour landmarks with native similarities of the tour members. + Martin was a well-travelled knowledge historian. Unlike the Western textbook, he did not underestimate how historical events like slavery and colonialism build the modern day Scotland. MINUS - Manual bike seat was uncomfortable. ADVICE *If you are not an advanced biker, I would advise you to take an electric bike as there are some upward hills on the tour.

Great experience with good guide - Great Bike ride. You are taken around an area of Glasgow you would not normally see if you were just walking. Informative and interesting guide. Bikes were sterdy and safe, although quite heavy.

They ride even if it’s raining - no money back!!! - Unfortunately was not able to enjoy this tour as it was raining the morning of, and we didn’t have the proper clothing so we decided not to go. We requested a refund but they refused, even though the weather was bad. It cleared up later in the day, so it may have been ok for the riders that ended up going, but we didn’t want to get drenched for the first hour of the tour. We tried to ask them for our money back- but they refused. So unless you have rain clothes and are ok riding in the rain, don’t book because it is NOT refundable.
