Highlights
  • Finnieston Crane - We stop and get a close up view of the crane and the various other cultural buildings around, we would only view this from the outside
  • The Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel - As we view this from the outside, we will learn about some interesting artefacts and the historic suburb of Govan
  • The Clyde and the Kelvin - We cycle along the cycle paths of both of Glasgow’s rivers and if the mood takes us, we stop off at a couple of points along the way
  • Kelvin Hall - Take in the new cycle path past the historic Kelvin Hall
  • Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - Our guests get a close up view of one of the real jewels in the crown of Glasgow and one of the finest free museums in the world. We share some of the most interesting facts behind the building, this is an external visit only
  • Kelvingrove Bandstand and Ampitheatre - We use this as an optional toilet stop (note - we can’t guarantee it is always open!) and of course it’s a great spot for taking pictures and going down memory lane for some of the amazing artists who have performed here. This is an external visit only
  • University of Glasgow - We get up close to one of the finest viewpoints across the city and take guests right inside the famous cloisters underneath the spires. We discuss some of the most famous alumni and also some of the things that make the university unique. This stop has a bit of an incline to get there but it is entirely worth it!
This is an external visit only
  • Glasgow Botanic Gardens - Dependent on timings, we may have the opportunity to cycle around the beautiful and lush Botanical Gardens and if the mood takes us maybe parking the bikes and popping into Kibble Palace. This is an external visit only

PS - there’s also an optional tpoilet stop that we may look to use if we need to :)

  • Kelvingrove Park - We cycle through Glasgow’s most scenic park and park our bikes at what we like to decribe as Glasgow’s intecultural centre. This is an external visit only

Additional Information

We turn residents into visitors and visitors into residents.

We’re a homegrown tour business focused on enlightening our guests with the deep societal history of some of the most recognizable locales in the city.

We navigate using fully restored former Royal Mail bicycles, each named after prominent (and sometimes not so popular) women from Glasgow, with a hope to make all our visitors treasure the city as passionately as we do.

Our tour paths are secure and feature picturesque parks, water bodies, and make use of Glasgow’s developing bicycle trail. If an electric bike is required, do let us know, as we can usually facilitate this.

We offer tours that span both historical and modern Glasgow, touching on topics such as history, architecture, culture, and immigration.

Exercise and Insight - So, if you have never been on a bicycle tour YOU NEED TO book one NOW!! Bicycle is the BEST way to see a city. You maneuver to places that you cannot possibly see from a bus. Martin, our tour guide with Gallus Pedals was fantastic! So personable! His knowledge of the history of Glasgow was enriching and he also shared personal stories of how he has seen Glasgow change over his lifetime. My 19 year old son THOROUGHLY enjoyed the experience and cannot wait to the next bile tour. I highly recommend GALLUS PEDALS!!!

Great way to see Glasgow!! Book it!! - This bike trip is a really awesome way to see the highlights and hear the history of Glasgow’s West end! Dominique was a lovely hostess full of fun knowledge, tidbits and back story of the area. The bikes were historically unique but fun and easy to ride for anyone. You ride for a bit, then stop for a bit and hear the history. A nice mix of physical activity and culture learning. The University of Glasgow was a breathtaking highlight of this trip. Note this trip does not go through city center due to traffic, but you see a bunch of awesome sights. Highly recommend!!
