Highlights
  • Sugarloaf Mountain - Sugar Loaf is an icon in Rio de Janeiro. Seeing it from the water and at a short distance is very impacting. Great for photographing!
  • Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer - The statue of Christ the Redeemer on top pf Corcovado hill is visible at all times from the water during our sailing experience!
  • Fortaleza de São João - The historical fortresses at the mouth of the Guanabara Bay are quite an attraction as seen from the water. From your point of view, you will have the same feelings pirates had when entering the bay uninvited.
  • Fortaleza de Santa Cruz da Barra - The largest of all fortresses in Rio, Santa Cruz was very instrumental in defending Rio from pirate attacks.
  • Museu de Arte Contemporanea de Niteroi - Appreciate this exquisite masterpiece of architect Oscar Niemeyer from the water.
  • Icarai Beach - Main central beach in Niteroi where many locals reside in tall apartment building oceanfront.
  • Praia de Charitas - Another residential area in Niteroi served by many sailing clubs.
  • Jurujuba Beach - This is an old fisherman community where many still keep their fishing boats.
  • Red Beach - CONDITIONS PERMITTING ONLY: This beautiful beach is located outside the bay and subject to sea motion. It is ideal for swimming.
  • Copacabana Beach - CONDITIONS PERMITTING ONLY!
Appreciated this iconic beach from the water!
  • Santos Dumont (SDU) - If you are a fan of airplanes, you will be thrilled to see them take off and land at a short distance from where we sail.

An unforgettable moment - A magnificent sailboat ride in Guanabara Bay that we see from all angles and that allows us to access inaccessible beaches other than by boat. The people in charge are extremely kind and generous, we feel at home a real pleasure to share their passion for navigation and the beauty of the site (but never invasive). A very nice playlist that can be found on Spotify for those who love Brazilian music. We are a long way from “tourist catchers”. I had an unforgettable time when I know the bay very well. Go in there with your eyes closed.

10/10 sailing experience - Everything about the experience was perfect. Even with imperfect and very windy conditions, all of our needs were cared for. The captain is very skilled and handled the boat with ease. The first mates Jessica and Gabriel were always asking if we needed anything. They helped provide food, drink, towels and blankets. And Daniel, the captain, shared with us plenty of history of Rio and showed us all around the bay. I would highly recommend this experience.

Rio from a different perspective - A different and interesting perspective of Rio. See the big picture and landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain within the broader city scape. Friendly staff, sailboat in excellent condition, small groups only with snacks and drinks. 3 hours well spent.
