Really looked after, great communication! - We actually arranged with Amarjeet a driver for 10 days to take us around the golden triangle (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur)... We wanted to travel at a slow pace and not rush around. He had been recommended to us by a friend. From my initial emails and subsequent what's app messages with Amarjeet his communication was great. Quick at replying and very clear. As we were putting our own itinerary together this service was perfect for us. We let Amarjeet know the days that we wanted a guide (which I would recommend when visiting the major tourist destinations like the Taj Mahal and the Amber Fort as they can quickly get tickets and know all the shortcuts etc) and he supplied them as part of the package. The rest of the time the driver would simply pick us up when we wanted and drive us to the places we wanted to visit. Sometimes this was as simple as wanting to find a book shop or visiting attractions / shopping. Our driver was punctual every day and an excellent driver. This is a must as driving in India is like no where else on earth!!!). On a couple of occasions when our driver was parked and waiting for us, we took a tuktuk to meet him, he advised us how much we should expect to pay, also when my husband bought some beer from a local store Shankar (our driver) also advised him how much it should be. This type of honest advise is indispensable in India as everyone will quote you over the odds!!! We normally let our driver know when we were hungry and he took us to a restaurant to eat. If you have done your own research and know where you want to eat that's great..... But if unsure its great just bring taken and not having to worry. All the places that Shanker took us where very good, and full of other tourists. I'm not always keen on being where all the other tourists are, but the places where all clean, toilets good and no problems with the food. For one of our trips we visited Elephant Joy in Jaipur. Our driver didn't know this company and it was a bit off the beaten track. He recommended another elephant place, however I'd done my own research on this and he was happy to comply. When we arrived at Elephant Joy they said many drivers won't bring tourists there as there is no kick back or incentive offered to the driver as it is a charity. So they commented our driver must be good. This service was excellent and I would have no doubts in using Amarjeets service again if we come back to India (which I hope we will!) .
