New Delhi - As you de-board your flight at New Delhi airport, you will be getting a cordial reception from our staff who will transfer you to a hotel. After relaxing for a while, start city excursion by visiting Old Delhi. Some of the attractions of Old Delhi which will form a part of your itinerary for Day 1 are the grand Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat etc. A shopping spree at the colourful market of Chandni Chowk is also in the schedule.
Red Fort - This World famous Citadel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site was laid out in 17th century. Enclosed by red coloured stone wall, bastions and gates, this huge monument is an architectural marvel in itself. It lies on the right side of Yamuna Bank, completed over a span of 9 years.
Jama Masjid, New Delhi - The largest Mosque of India, then its truly a gem to be seen! Registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the main mosque of Old Delhi.
Humayun’s Tomb - This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.
Lotus Temple - The temple is built in the shape of a floating half open lotus set amidst pools and gardens. This temple has no idols of any God. The Lotus Temple is the only Bahai temple of worship in Asia.
Raj Ghat - Later the memorial area was also called Raj Ghat. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation, Antyeshti (last rites) on 31 January 1948, a day after his assassination.
Chandni Chowk - Chandni Chowk is famous for clothes, electronic items, Indian spices and street food.

India’s golden triangle is a tourist circuit which connects the national capital Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The Golden Triangle is so called because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of New Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan on a map. The trips usually start in Delhi moving south to the site of Taj Mahal at Agra, then west, to the desert landscapes of Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur.
