Qutub Minar is a tapering tower, which was designed similar to the Minaret of Jam located in Western Afghanistan. The first floor of the tower was built in 12th century. The second, third and fourth floors were built in 13th century and the last floor was completed in 14th century. There were attempts to add a sixth storey to the tower, which failed. This is the victory tower of Mughal, which indicated the beginning of Muslim rule in India.

Lotus Temple - Lotus Temple is a notable architectural marvel famous for its unique lotus structure. The temple has won several awards and recognitions for its style of building, the concept of religion and the beauty. It is one of the most visited monuments in the world. This is a modern style non-religion oriented temple.

India Gate - India Gate is a war memorial, which was initially named as the All India War Memorial. This structure is situated Rajpath region of New Delhi. Do not confuse it with the Gateway of India, which is located in Mumbai. This structure stands as a memorial to more than 70,000 soldiers who died in the First World War and the third Anglo-Afghan war.

Parliament House - Located at the end of the Sansad Marg, the Parliament House or Sansad Bhavan is one of the most impressive buildings in New Delhi. The Parliament House comprises of a central hall which is circular in shape and is considered to be very important part of the building since this is the place where the Indian Constitution was drafted. The Parliament houses the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and a library hall. There lies a garden in between three chambers.

Day 2: Agra–Jaipur

Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal stands for the Crown of Palaces in the Persian language. It rises from the dust-beaten earth of Uttar Pradesh, but even the wildest imaginations leave visitors underprepared for this world wonder. Covering an area of approximately 42 Acres, the Taj Mahal was constructed using white marble obtained from Makrana in Rajasthan.

Agra Fort - Agra Fort is located in Agra city of India. It is located just 2.5 km away from Taj Mahal. The fort is just 15 minutes away from Agra railway station and little farther from the bus stand. You can easily get cycle rickshaw, auto, cab or bus from any part of the city to Agra Fort.

Day 3: Jaipur

Jal Mahal - Sitting prettily right in the centre of the Man Sagar Lake on the outskirts of Jaipur, lies the splendid and tranquil Jal Mahal. A masterful creation, it is bordered by the Nahargarh Hills. This low rise symmetrical Palace was once a shooting lodge for the Maharajas and now fascinates many visitors from all over the world. Jal Mahal was constructed in the 1750s and was commissioned by Maharaja Madho Singh. It is indeed one of the most photographed monuments in India.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Hawa Mahal is a five story building that is situated in the heart of the city of Jaipur. It has a beehive like structure and is made of red and pink sand stone lined with white color to make it vibrant. It is pink like the rest of the pink city of Jaipur.

City Palace of Jaipur - A complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings, the impressive City Palace is right in the centre of the Old City. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh II, but within it the palace has been enlarged and adapted over the centuries. There are palace buildings from different eras, some dating from the early 20th century. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory used to measure the distances and positions of celestial objects. India has a total of five such observatories the largest of which is in Jaipur.

The Jantar Mantar in Jaipur consists of 19 large instruments each serving a very specific purpose. The most significant among these is the Samrat Yantra which is the largest sundial in the country.

Unbelievable experience - First let me say that my wife and I are really not into guided tours so this one was really unexpected. From the mail exchange recommending the schedule but always leaving us with options to change as we saw fit until the last drop-off at the airport, we had nothing but amazing days in India. They are very knowledgeable about what to do around the Golden Triangle and when was the best time to see everything and had no problem including a few last minute suggestions by us. Every restaurant they recommended was amazing and for those we had recommendations from friends they gladly drove us there, whenever we asked. They even went way "above the call of duty" when we realized, after a 5h + ride to Jaipur, that our passports were left at the hotel in Delhi. They settled everything with both hotels and had a driver picking our documents the very next morning so we could have them in the evening. Thanks a lot for everything and we'll hope to see you again next time we're in India. In the meantime, we'll happily recommend Taj by Car to all our friends going there.
