Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - The tour begins with a 9:00 AM pick-up from your chosen location. Our driver will greet you and then proceed with the sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Your tour guide will join you en route and assist you throughout the day. The first stop in Old Delhi is Jama Masjid, also known as the Friday Mosque, one of India’s largest mosques. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, it cost 1 million rupees.
Chandni Chowk - After Jama Masjid, you’ll explore the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi with a rickshaw ride. Chandni Chowk is a bustling shopping area in the heart of Old Delhi, featuring markets with spices, dried fruits, silver jewelry, and colorful saris. The narrow side streets are filled with small shops selling essential oils, stationery, and traditional Indian sweets.
Red Fort - Following Chandni Chowk, you’ll view the Red Fort from the outside. Since 70% of the fort is occupied by the Indian Army, you’ll only see it from the outside and take some photos. The Red Fort is a historic fort in Delhi, serving as the main residence of Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years until 1856.
Humayun’s Tomb - After exploring Old Delhi, you’ll take a lunch break. Post-lunch, you’ll head to New Delhi, starting with Humayun’s Tomb. This tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun was commissioned by his first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, in 1569–70 and designed by Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad.
India Gate - After Humayun’s Tomb, you’ll drive past India Gate, where you can take pictures while the guide explains its historical significance. India Gate is a war memorial located on the eastern edge of Rajpath, New Delhi’s ceremonial axis, formerly known as Kingsway.
Parliament House - Next, you’ll drive past Parliament House, where you can take photos before moving on to the next monument.
Qutub Minar - After Parliament House, you’ll visit Qutub Minar, a minaret that is part of the Qutb complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi’s Mehrauli area.
Lotus Temple - Your final stop in Delhi is the Lotus Temple, a Bahá’à House of Worship dedicated in December 1986. Known for its flower-like shape, it is a major attraction in the city. Open to all, regardless of religion, the Lotus Temple concludes your Delhi tour. In the evening, you’ll drive to Agra, check into your hotel, and stay overnight.
Agra Sightseeing and Drive to Jaipur.
Taj Mahal - You’ll be picked up from your hotel at 6 AM to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal. Afterward, you’ll return to the hotel. The Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the Yamuna river’s south bank, was commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It also houses Shah Jahan’s tomb.
Agra Fort - Post-Taj Mahal visit, you’ll return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out, then visit Agra Fort. This historical fort was the main residence of Mughal emperors until 1638 when the capital moved from Agra to Delhi.
Jaipur - After Agra Fort, you’ll drive to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri Fort along the way. Fatehpur Sikri, a small city west of Agra, was founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Its center features red sandstone buildings, with Buland Darwaza Gate leading to Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble tomb of Salim Chishti and Diwan-E-Khas Hall with its carved central pillar. After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, you’ll continue to Jaipur, arriving around 7 PM to check into your hotel and stay overnight.
Jaipur City Tour and Drive back to Delhi.
Jal Mahal - After breakfast, you’ll visit Jal Mahal (Palace on the Lake). While entrance is prohibited, you can take great photos. Jal Mahal is a palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
City Palace of Jaipur - Following Jal Mahal, you’ll visit the City Palace, established in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II when he moved his court to Jaipur from Amber. Until 1949, the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of Jaipur’s Maharaja.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Next, you’ll visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory with nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II and completed in 1734. It features the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - After Jantar Mantar, you’ll stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). While entrance is prohibited, you can take excellent photos. Constructed of red and pink sandstone, Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. By 2 PM, you’ll finish your Jaipur tour. You can either fly from Jaipur Airport or drive back to Delhi, arriving around 8 PM for departure at a hotel or airport.
New Delhi - Finally, you’ll visit Patrika Gate, an ideal spot for photography. By 2 PM, your Jaipur tour concludes, and you can either depart from Jaipur Airport or drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi around 8 PM, you’ll head to a hotel or airport.
