Highlights

Arrive at ICN airport ➜ Hotel

Incheon International Airport - Welcome to Seoul, the city that never sleeps. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to rest and overcome your jetlag as we swiftly transport you to your hotel from the airport for a day of leisure and comfort in a private car or charter bus prepared at the airport.

Seoul ➜ Chuncheon ➜ Sokcho, an ideal location for a healing retreat.

Petite France - A small French culture village in Korea. This location has been featured in famous Korean soap operas and entertainment programs such as “Beethoven Virus,” “Personal Taste” of MBC, “My Love from the Star,” “Secret Garden,” “Great Friend Note – Girls Generation Episode,” and “Running Man” of SBS, as well as numerous films and TV commercials.

Nami Island - We take a ferry to reach the island, which is the filming location of ‘Winter Sonata’ and is renowned for its beautiful tree-lined roads. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families visit.

Daepo Port - This bustling port and fish market has become one of the most popular tourist spots for those seeking the freshest raw fish restaurants.

Sokcho ➜ Gangneung, hassle-free and largest coastal city.

Gwongeumseong Fortress - Located on Seoraksan Mountain, Gwongeumseong Fortress is the site of castle ruins, also known as Mt. Onggeumsan Castle or Toto Castle. It is situated on the steep Dolsan Mountain in the Seoraksan Sogongwon area and is believed to have been built by King Gojong, the 23rd King of the Goryeo Period (918-1392). Sogongwon Park → Cable car → Gwongeumseong Fortress: 1.5 km, 30 mins.

Seoraksan Sinheungsa Temple - Sinheungsa (신흥사) is a short 10-minute walk from the entrance to Sogongwon. Many visit due to its close proximity to Sogongwon. Sinheungsa is a temple that was originally called Hyangseongsa, built by Jajangyulsa (590~658), who traveled to famous mountains across the nation during Queen Jindeok’s (?~654) 6th year of reign. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times.

Ojukheon - Ojukheon House is where Shin Saimdang (1504-1551) lived and where her son Yi I (penname Yulgok; scholar and politician of the Joseon Period) was born. Built during the early Joseon Dynasty, it remains one of the oldest wooden residential buildings in Korea. It was designated as Treasure No. 165 in 1963 and has been maintained by descendants throughout generations.

Gyeongpoho Lake - Located 6 km northeast of Gangneung, Gyeongpoho Lake, which means “clear as a mirror,” is also known as Gunjaho Lake. It was formed when the mouth of a bay was closed by sand and pebbles brought in by sea currents. It is famous as a destination for migratory birds. The lake used to have a circumference of 12 km but has diminished due to the accumulation of dirt and sand.

Gangneung ➜ PyeongChang ➜ Suwon ➜ Seoul

Phoenix Pyeongchang Hotel - A unique experience where one can taste traditional Korean food, including a Royal Cuisine Bulgogi with vegetables and Bibimbap for lunch.

Hwaseong Fortress - An impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. Constructed from 1794 to 1796, the fortress was built as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father and to establish a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

Seoul ⇌ DMZ, Nowhere is the tension between North and South Korea more palpable than in the no-man’s-land

DMZ - The highlight of today’s tour is the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). We will all take a tunnel train to descend into the tunnel at a depth of 73m.

Note: Must bring passport for ID check.
Located on each side of the 38th parallel, this infamous border was established at the end of the war in 1953 at the signing of Panmunjom’s armistice to separate North and South Korea. Upon arrival, proceed to passport security control followed by a short introduction at the United Nations’ camp. Visit Dora Observatory and Dorasan Railway Station. Discover Imjingak Park with the Memorial, the Liberty Bridge, and the Bell of Unification. Late morning, visit the 3rd tunnel dug into the rock at a depth of 73m, capable of moving a full division per hour with their weapons.

Insadong - One of the most memorable attractions in Seoul, representing the focal point of Korean traditional culture and crafts. Stores in Insadong specialize in a wide variety of goods that can only be purchased or appreciated in Korea.

Seoul, Breath of Traditional Korean Culture

Gyeongbokgung Palace - Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because it is the furthest north compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace). Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful and remains the largest of all five palaces.

Seoul City Hall - The reenactment of the original ceremony began in 1996. The gate guardsmen serve their sentry, perform the changing of the guards, and hold a parade. The guards’ uniforms, weapons, and accessories, as well as their strict ceremonial procedures, catch the eyes of passersby, especially foreign tourists. Since it is hard to experience traditional events in such a big city like Seoul, the changing of the guards ceremony is a great opportunity. It takes place every day except Tuesday.

National Folk Museum of Korea - A place to see Korea’s unique culture and the lifestyle of its people in the olden days.

Gwanghwamun Square - On August 1st, 2009, the redesigned Gwanghwamun Square opened to the public. With the inauguration of the square, Sejong-ro, located at the center of the 600-year-old historic city of Seoul, was transformed into a human-centered space that harmonizes with the beautiful scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukaksan Mountain.

Cheonggyecheon Stream - The plaza includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird’s-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream. At the plaza, there are plaques that provide detailed commentaries on the 22 bridges that span the stream, as well as a number of graceful fountains that add to the ambiance of the area. The area commemorates the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project and symbolizes gathering, harmony, peace, and unity.
