The Journey Begins: Kathmandu to Soti Khola

The anticipation was palpable as I embarked on the journey from Kathmandu to Soti Khola. The drive, though long, was a visual feast, offering glimpses of the Trishuli River and bustling local towns. As we wound our way through the picturesque countryside, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement for the adventure that lay ahead. Arriving in Soti Khola, a quaint village nestled in the Gorkha district, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of the locals. The evening was spent in a cozy teahouse, where I savored traditional Nepali cuisine and prepared for the trek to come.

Immersing in the Culture: Tsum Valley

The trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola was a gentle introduction to the region’s natural beauty. Crossing suspension bridges and passing through terraced fields, I was struck by the harmony between the land and its people. As we ventured deeper into the Tsum Valley, the influence of Tibetan culture became increasingly evident. The journey concluded in Dharapani, where the Manaslu Circuit trek meets the popular Annapurna Circuit trail.
