Climbing Bukhansan at sunset presents a challenge. The Bukhansan Rescue Team notes that someone gets lost weekly, often foreign tourists, particularly at sunset when the mountain becomes completely dark. But rest assured! An expert guide, who has traversed this trail over 100 times, will accompany you.

Guest Information:

• Moderate fitness is necessary. The hike is 5 hours long with 4 short breaks. Some hiking experience or good fitness level is recommended.
• No need for professional gear, but supportive shoes (hiking boots are suggested). Boots can be rented in Seoul.
• The trail is 3.5km (2.17 miles) one-way with a 530m (1,740 feet) elevation change (equivalent to about 200 floors), so expect some incline.
