WOW - After a quiet start where we saw a number of different animals including zebra, warthog and 2 solo elephants our guide Gary took us to a waterhole where the view can only be described as WOW! There were so many elephants there, some bathing in the water some out standing at the side and an adorable baby being fed. This was the first of a few waterholes where each seem to have more elephants than the last. At one there was a wonderful sight of the backs of a large family of elephants leaving that hole on their way to the next. A visit with so many memories, so many photos and so much fun.

Not to be missed! - Super visit to the park -this is a national park and the animals are free to roam and some of the animals are harder to find but our guide Mr X, was excellent at finding some we may have missed, with over 700 elephants- they were not in short supply and I will never forget seeing hundreds of them at the water hole

Amazing Visit to Addo Elephant Park with Into Tours - We booked this Shore Excursion to Addo Elephant Park with Into Tours, and had a great experience. Communications with Janina prior to our visit were very helpful, as she described the entire trip and provided details on the pickup point. Our guide, Jacob arrived early in a comfortable Toyota SUV. Jacob was a fantastic guide, with eagle eyes that spotted wildlife through out the park, along with possessing excellent driving skills. He definitely made the trip very enjoyable. On the initial drive through the south end of the park, we spotted cape buffalo, eland, kudu, zebras and several other animals. In the north section of the park, we saw nearly 100 elephants and several hundred zebras during our morning and afternoon drives. The burger and fries lunch at the Cattle Baron was fast and delicious, allowing us to maximize our wildlife viewing time. We highly recommend Into Tours and Jacob. Thank you!

A Great Day at Addo - We were a small tour of 7 people from a cruise, with Gary, an expert local guide. We had a game drive in the morning and afternoon with a short lunch break. This was a burger in the park's main camp, which also had a shop and toilets. The highlight of the day was seeing a herd of about 100 elephants at a water hole, bathing. It is a very large park so there are many roads to travel down and search for the animals. There are also some stops at scenic view points with possible bird sightings such as the herons that we saw. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would recommend it.

"Jumped ship" from cruise excursion to Viator excursion - First time with Viator excursion. It was easy to book, communicate from the ship and connect with our tour guide. Pick up from the ship was seamless. Jacob was terrific! His knowledge of South African history, culture and animal life was invaluable. We got a private guide for the price of a group rate.

Outstanding visit, terrific guide! - With a terrific guide, Gary, we saw many elephant family groups, Kudu, warthogs, zebra, baboons, tortoise and birds. Gary knew the park well and was great at telling stories from his many years of touring on his own as well as leading groups in Addo. He answered questions while driving and spotting animals we were able to see up close. Lots of babies in all species. A highlight of my years of travel!

Adventurous Addo park - The trip was “great”! It went above and beyond our expectations! We booked independently on Oceania cruise separately. As we see large buses picking up large amount of people we had a more intimate experience due to small number of people. We were blessed by Gary brother of Mick Dundee( just kidding). Gary was very knowledgeable, and was full of knowledge! He also was so patient with my husband who is disabled. It was so much fun seeing all kinds of animals like elephants, zebras, wilder beast, kudu, etc, etc. Very happy and would recommend to anyone!

Great for elephants - Superb for seeing Elephants. Saw at least 200, but although they advertise the big 5, the park has only 5 lions and even fewer leopards so your chance of seeing them is near zero as the park is huge and they stay away from the parts travelled by vehicles. Saw two jackals and 3 cape Buffalo. Lots of Zebras and a few various antelope and one giraffe outside the park. No hipos or rhinos. A great experience if you haven’t been on parks or true safaris. The roads are good and many people just rent a car and drive around themselves. No need for a 4x4. As we have been in numerous safari’s including doing the great migration this was a little bit of a letdown but you do get to see the elephants up very close
