Great day out in Addo - This was a private safari whilst on a cruise visit. We were very well looked after by our driver. Really friendly and eager to please, plus he provided a great insight into his life experience, Though he was not as knowledgable about the wildlife as a safari guide would have been, this did not spoil our enjoyment.

Payment Issues -- beware of scams!!!! - We booked our tour directly with a driver at the cruise port. We negotiated a price and paid in cash. The driver assured us that the price included the entrance fee to the park. There were two other families in the mini van. The driver left the port and stopped about one block away. He told us that another driver would be taking us to the park. He confirmed with the new driver that we had already paid him in cash. When we arrived at the park the driver informed us that we had to pay for the entrance. We told him that the first driver assured us that the money we already paid included the entrance fee. He stated it did not. Everyone in the van had some kind of payment problem. The couple from Germany who booked online and had all their confirmation receipts, was told that their credit card did not go through and they were asked to pay again. The family from the UK were told they did not pay enough. They also booked online and had their confirmation receipts. The driver was telling them something about exchange rate and they still owed money. Everyone ended up having to pay additional funds (all this happened when we arrived at the park not when everyone first go into the mini van). Be careful if booking with Just Safari. The tour was fine but the payment issues left everyone feeling scammed.

Disappointing experience - Poor organization and performance - 1. Short-term cancellation and price increase Two days before the tour, our original booking was cancelled via GetYourGuide. Instead, we were offered to book the tour directly through the provider’s website at a price 50 € higher. We agreed with a heavy heart. 2. Problems with the private tour We had booked a private tour. Only after we raised this with the provider was the private tour conducted, but presented as an alleged “upgrade”. 3. Wrong vehicle Instead of a typical safari vehicle, a normal vehicle was used that was unsuitable for a safari. 4. Unfulfilled schedule • Pick up was on time at 9am. • At 1:30 p.m. there was a lunch break where there was no picnic lunch but burgers with fries. This tastes good, but was not the description of the booking. • 14:10: Afterwards we were told that it was “no longer worthwhile” to go to the park. After our protest, we were told we could go to the park for another 1 hour, but with a demotivated guide , who could show us only zebras again, we didn't want to spend our time either. Demnavh we were already back at the hotel at 15:30. Mathematically, we shouldn't have arrived here until 5 p.m. • Effectively we were only 2.5 hours in the park – minus the lunch break. 5. Unmotivated guide • The guide seemed tired and unprofessional. • His knowledge of wildlife was disappointing, and he even had to orient himself with a map in the park. • Initially he had a friendly conversation with us, but stopped talking completely when we expressed our dissatisfaction. 6. Poor tour • The guide promised to show 80% of the park. In fact, we only drove around in a small part. • Instead of an 8-hour tour, the entire trip was significantly shorter. The day before we had a half-day safari where we were effectively in the park longer, had seen more animals and had taken place privately and in a real safari. So we had a direct comparison. We would have liked an apology or a pro rata refund. None of the same was offered to us. It was just on our feedback: “ No Problem!”. Conclusion The tour did not correspond in any way to what we had booked. Organisation, process and performance were disappointing. We wasted a lot of money and time – even without a guide we would have seen more. Even if the guide was human friendly we cannot recommend the tour.

Worst experience ever - Absolutely disgusting experience with Just Safaris. This trip was cancelled the night before without any explanation. Tried to contact you but you were not picking up. This was meant to be a once in a lifetime experience and we were only in port for the one day and this caused us so much stress as it left us no time to book with anyone else. Certainly could not recommend.
