• Alykes Drosia - Egglezonissi is a large, uninhabited islet in the Northern Euboean Gulf, situated opposite Drossia Beach in Chalkis. This lush, little paradise boasts crystal-clear waters that beckon visitors to take a dip! It’s an exotic destination worth exploring, just a 45-minute drive from Athens.

This charming island features three sandy beaches, with two located on the eastern side and a larger one extending from the eastern to the western part, making it an ideal spot for swimming. At the island’s hilltop, the picturesque white and blue church of Agios Nikolaos Neos can be found. Known by several names (Ktyponissi, Egglezonissi, or Gaidaros), the island has a rich history. Discoveries of ruins and water tanks in the island’s center suggest it was inhabited during the 6th and 7th centuries.

We enjoy kayaking at the unknown beautiful island of Chalkida, just 45 minutes away from Athens. We paddle around the island and admire all its aspects that offer varying images, from sandy beaches to wild and rugged rocks! We admire the marine birdlife. On our route, we may meet, in addition to many seagulls, cormorants diving for their underwater hunting and large herons (gray egrets). We visit and dive in beaches with crystal clear and turquoise waters. We stop for snorkeling to admire the underwater life.
