Alhambra - We neglected to purchase our Alhambra tickets in advance of our visit to Southern Spain and were excited to find a private tour availability on a day that worked. Although very costly for us (we’re only 2 people), our tour guide was so professional, knowledgeable and interesting it made the cost well worth the expense. Viator is known to provide great service and tours and we plan to use them again. Recommend purchasing cultural tickets in advance of your visit!!

Very good experience with a last-minute booking - I booked this last-minute visit for the following day for my parents who really wanted to see Nasrid palaces but the official tickets were sold out for a month in advance. Despite this being the last-minute booking, everything went smoothly and the tickets were provided (I read some 1-star reviews about problems with that, but in our case it worked fine). The Viator telephone advisor was extremely helpful with the booking process. My parents had a private tour with a guide who they described as pleasant, knowledgeable, well-orientated in the Alhambra grounds and engaging. He led the tour in English (as requested). My parents are grateful for the experience, while I am grateful for him taking a few pictures of them together -- the only pictures together they have from their trip to Spain.

Best experience with best tour guise - I bought my flight and booked my airbnb before realizing there were no more tickets for the Nazaries Palaces. Traveled all the way from Mexico, I could not miss it. I booked this tour last minute because it was the only one available for the Nazaries Palaces on the same day booked. It was completely worth it. I was in awe with the palaces. The tour guide was so knowledgeable not only about dates, architecture and history, but also about the muslim culture and the arabic world. Completely recommend Rapi. He is from Morocco and speaks 5 languages. So friendly, know all the other tour guides, everyone would reach out to greet him with a big smile, a very nice and knowledgeable guise. I completely recommend taking a tour with him.

Family trip to the forts of Spain - Alex was very friendly and well informed. Great experience. Good with rhe youngsters and loved getting questions.

Deeply informative and gave a sense of the complex history of the Alhambra. - Our tour with Jana was excellent. She was interesting, full of knowledge and stories that made our visit come alive. She was flexible with meeting times and very welcoming when we met. Jana conveyed her passion for the Alhambra and the private tour enabled us to mine her deep knowledge with our many questions.

Great tour of the Alhambra - Our guide Abubakr was extremely knowledgeable about everything in and around the Alhambra. He made the experience significantly better than had we just gone ourselves without a guide. He answered all of our questions and pointed out everything in amazing detail.

Great guide. - We've visited the Alhambra before, a few years back, but this time we learnt a lot of things we previously didn't know. We also saw some areas of the site that we'd previously missed. Rabbi was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tour was rather pricey, but our fault for not booking Alhambra tickets ahead of the trip.

Only book if its the last resort - Though I'm glad I was able to experience the Alhambra while in Granada, I can't say that the experience justified the price I paid. It was unclear on the booking page that this was a solo private tour - I understood it would be a small group like other tour groups on Viator. The guide was nice and knowledgeable but was also distracted during the tour by other things. The tour seemed rushed with little time to take in the scenery at times. And though the guide was great about taking pictures, it would've been a much better experience if there was at least one other person in the group to talk with and share experience. Main benefit was that we got to skip the longer lines since the guide had the tickets. Other groups seemed to provide their tourists with informational packets or other goods but that was not the case here either. Overall I wouldn't recommend anyone book this tour unless absolutely necessary since its one of the few that comes with tickets; sadly, tourists are this heavily exploited for wanting to visit such an important monument of history by paying more than 18x the ticket price from the official Alhambra website!!!
