  The Palace of the Forgotten is a 16th century construction, today completely restored.
  This permanent exhibition presents a selection of instruments of torture and capital punishment, corresponding to those most used by the different inquisitorial courts, both ecclesiastical and civil, throughout Europe. It is important to highlight that the Spanish ecclesiastical courts were sparing in the use of instruments of torture, with the garrucha, the guitar and the rack being the most used. However, civil courts, both in Spain and in the rest of Europe, are particularly cruel towards certain groups that various societies considered dangerous for coexistence, and it is from here that most of the exposed machines.

Situated in the historic heart of Granada is the Palacio de los Olvidados, nestled on the slopes of Santa Inés, within the lower Albaicín, the most historical and enchanting neighborhood of Granada, which was awarded the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. The enchantment of its winding streets, where time appears to have paused, still exudes the ambience of a confluence of Arab, Sephardic, and Christian cultures. Amidst these narrow, history-rich lanes, stands the Palacio de los Olvidados, a 16th-century palace situated on the edge of the Darro River, at the base of the Alhambra, that promises to transport us back in time.
