Motril to the Alhambra! - Our experience began with a friendly driver picking us up at the port of Motril. He pointed out several sites along the way as we drove the 40 minutes to reach the Alhambra. There we met our guide Javier. He joined our group of three and began our fun, friendly and detailed tour. Javier is incredibly knowledgeable about the Alhambra- he offers the details as a story. I found myself wrapped up in the history and imagined myself there in the shoes of the occupants. He was able to secure tickets for us even though at this point most were sold out. He answered all of our questions without hesitation - we had a million both before the booking and of course during the tour. After he made sure to take us to a beautiful restaurant overlooking the city where we had an incredible lunch. They took care of us as well and made sure we had a taxi waiting for us to take us back to port. All in all an incredible way to see the Alhambra from the port of Motril. Worth every penny!
