The best way to experience the Sierra Nevada, short of hiking it yourself - My wife and I did the sunset tour, starting from Granada at 1pm and returning at 8. Just 5 of us on a tour designed for 8, so we got the benefit of extra attention. The whole tour was amazing, thank you, we loved it. Our tour guide was superb, driving us carefully along narrow roads through the breathtaking foothills, whilst regaling us with information about goldmining, farming, wildlife, and the history and geology of the region. Several stops along the way to learn more and to enjoy the wonderfully fresh air. And then we climbed higher, up to the ski slopes at 2500m, where the clouds parted to deliver a full moon over the peaks, and a spectacular sunset. Along the way we also saw mountain goats, ibex, wild horses, and a fox We would heartily recommend the tour as by far the best way to experience the Sierra Nevada, short of hiking it for oneself. Thank you so much! John G.

VIEWS AND GUIDE OF 10 - I went with my partner on the shift tomorrow, there was still no snow. Still the views were spectacular, and our guide Juan Diego was passionate about nature and you could tell that you knew every corner of the route. To repeat but this time when there is snow or in the sunset. Although it was amazing, I recommend doing it in the evening or when it is snowy.

Excellent, informative day trip!! - Absolutely lovely day!! Our guide was so informative and clearly knows the Sierra Nevada mountains well. My husband and I had been debating between this and doing our own hiking. We were glad we chose this experience because of our guide helped identify different things we could scavenge along our exploring that we would not have been able to do on our own. He was very kind and personable! Definitely recommend working this into your trip.

Top trip, great guide, completely chilled - Great experiencing the mountainous region of Sierra Nevada near Granada. The tour guide Daud, was great, and went out of his way to help me out with my misadventure. You see the vastness of the various alpine environs, rock and vegetation formations, running creeks, and a chance to drink clean spring water from the ground. Lunch at an alpine tavern was traditional and lovely. This is a must do if you want to see some natural parts of Spain. Gracias Daud!

Great Day in Sierra Nevada - The trip was fantastic! Stunning views, good weather, comfortable vehicle, and an awesome guide, Carlos, who is a super driver, delivers relevant information about geology, fauna and flora of the area, in clear English with enthusiasm and energy. This trip is worth every penny. Thank you!

A bumpy ride but views worth the trip - If you enjoy getting out of town, mountain views and learning abort the history of the region and don't mind travelling on a bumpy road for a few hours, this excursion is for you. Our driver/guide was excellent.

Not worthy the price - The place chosen (Sierra Nevada) was magnificent on its own due to its wonderful landscape and nature. We enjoyed the sunset and being there in that specific moment. The organised tour though was not as good as expected and the price per person doesn’t seem to be justified. The guide was ok but a bit reckless driving in certain areas, and the information shared was not enough. The group had a couple of people who didn’t speak English and I felt that he had a preference for them rather than the other 6 English speakers. ie. After dinner and with extremely low temperatures, the guide ‘got lost’ talking to them rather than listening to 6 people who were freezing outside/inside the car and begging him to start the engine and go back to Granada. Personally my experience has been impacted by the impoliteness of two people who were talking non-stop during the 7+ hours and, when asked to lower the voice on the way back, they were just talking (and maybe insulting me) in Spanish. Regretfully, the guide didn’t address this issue at all.
