Words cannot describe this adventure - My husband and I, both in our fifties, booked this hike together with our daughter in her twenties. We had an amazing adventure in the Grand Canyon with our guide Kevin. He met us at the hotel and provided us with hiking poles (very helpful), backpacks, water and snacks, and off we went to the South Kaibab trail. It is steep! We never would have made it as far as we did on our own as the trail is frankly quite intimidating. Kevin guided us to a beautiful spot where we could enjoy the view while he prepared a super fresh chicken wrap for us. Kevin told us interesting little tidbits about the history of the Canyon along the way.

highly recommend, great guides, and very friendly - Had a great time. Our guide, Kevin, was excellent. Very informative and knew the trail well. Provided much-needed reassurance as to our ability to tackle the trail. We had the best time. Even met another guide, Kristi. Also very personable and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Sunset hikes are the best! - What an amazing experience with Kevin! He was so informative and funny. He made the experience even better than if we would of gone off on our own. Of course the wraps were delicious too! John made sure to check in with us prior to the hike which was very helpful as well. Nothing better than seeing the sun set in the canyon.

Cherished memories - This tour and guide (Kevin) was great for us. We were well prepared with water, Gatorade, snacks, polls and backpacks, all were quite essential for our ~1.5 mile hike down to Cedar Ridge. At CR, Kevin let us explore this beautiful space and made us a delicious meal before making our way out of the canyon. When we finished it was a gorgeous sunset! We got so lucky because we went days after the Memorial Day weekend and in the afternoon (started down around 2:30pm), it wasn’t crowded at all which really made us feel at ease. It was an experience me and my family will cherish forever! Highly recommend this tour company, Kevin was friendly, knowledgeable and took good care of us.

YES WE CANYON!!! - I ABSOLUTELY recommend booking a guided hiking tour through John's service. If you want an incredible family experience with the best tour guide, please ask for Kevin. Kevin was the most amazing guide we've ever encountered! He instantly clicked with all our family members and did in fact, feel like a family member. This experience would not have been fully achieved without Kevin's expertise and demeanor. He gave cool historical information along the way...funny stories for the kids...positive coaching when it got physically tough for the kids to get out of those final switchbacks.....Kevin handled it all like a PRO! All of us came out of that canyon changed people. THANK YOU, Kevin & John!!! From the Miller Family, David, Michelle, Bella and Christian

Memory for a lifetime - We did the sunset hike with Jon and Chase. It was an experience of a lifetime. Right from the pick up from the Hotel, the hike, the light dinner, the careful attention to making sure we were all made the trek up and down the canyon was exceptional. The narrative from Chase about the fossils, the different layers in the canyon and the flora and fauna around made the trip extra special. The sunset view and the vistas from our picnic spot were spectacular. Best of all the absence of crowd and the weather going down and up made the hike a memory which will last a lifetime.

Awesome 1/2 day hike into the Grand Canyon - My family and I went on a 1/2 day hike into Grand Canyon with Jon (the South Kaibab Trail down to Cedar Ridge). Jon was fantastic! He arrived with backpacks with snacks and drinks for all of us and trekking poles which were incredibly helpful. Jon was really knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and has true love for hiking. He is great with a camera too so he helped capture some really awesome once-in-a-lifetime memories (some of which were terrifying for me to watch but my husband and son absolutely loved every moment). I was quite nervous about the hike itself as I am quite terrified of heights and I was concerned that the path would be too steep/too narrow but Jon really helped with my comfort level by letting me know that it was the same paths that the mules traveled and that it was quite wide, and it was. I really would have missed something amazing had I decided to skip the hike. Jon also prepared an amazing lunch for us that we enjoyed while we enjoyed the quiet and expansive views at Cedar Ridge. We would definitely recommend hiking the South Kaibab Trail with Jon!

Take.This.Tour! - This tour was better than expected even after reading all of the stellar reviews! Our group was us (two grandparents) and our grandsons (8 and 10). Our guide Kevin was so friendly, patient, kind, knowledgeable and well equipped! The drinks, snacks, food, trekking poles, backpacks were all top notch! Kevin even made sure the picky 8 year old and peanut allergic 10 year old were happy and full! We learned a lot of Grand Canyon history, facts (and lore!) Kevin even arranged for perfect weather! :-) They think of everything on this tour. Picked up and dropped off right at our lodge and we always felt perfectly safe, as well as hydrated and satisfied! This tour is wonderful, awesome, fantastic and fabulous! Do it! You won’t be sorry! Worth every cent! Besides that, it was FUN! Thank you Kevin and Jon for doing everything right!

Great spring hike below the rim with our guide Kevin! - We had a great day hiking with Kevin - he was super knowledgeable and encouraging, helped pace us throughout the day, and took great photos of us. He also had the best recommendation for our lunch spot and made us amazing wraps (fresh!) which really hit the spot. We were able to save our energy as we were dropped off & picked up right at the start of the South Kaibab trail (rather than having to walk from the parking lot). The hiking gear and snacks provided were top tier as well. Highly recommended!
