Best tour Guide you are gonna find! - My Grand Canyon tour was awesome and everything perfect. Eric was the best tour guide that I have had in my travel days! He is very knowledgeable, smart, kind and relatable! The tour ended up being a private tour, I am sure because I went on a Monday morning during the off season, but he made it feel like it was the middle of the summer and I was with one of my good friends on this trip. If you want a good tour that covers great spots and has good company. I truly recommend this tour guide. Also Lets not forget his decked out tour van! It has all the bells and whistles for any time of the year to meet all needs!

A New, Young Talent Joins the Ranks of South Rim Guides—He is EXCELLENT!! - If I could give six stars, Eric would get them for this Grand Canyon South Rim Tour with Lunch. Eric is just starting out in his tour business, and he didn’t have many reviews when we booked….so we uncovered a GEM of a tour guide. You need to meet Eric. He arrived in front of our Maswik Lodge location 15 minutes early, and had set up a coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station at the back of his van! After introductions, and ensuring we had drinks and snacks, we took off for about five or six (maybe seven) stops along about a 40 mile route. First stop was blocked by road maintenance, and Eric quickly adapted and got us where we could see what he wanted us to see. He timed our stops so that at most the locations, there were few people, making the environment EVEN NICER!! We asked about history. He knew not just geologic history (and BOY did he know it well! ) but he also knew the history of the “founders” of the first hotel and their tours, and how park establishment changed the trajectory of facilities at the park. He knew wildlife—birds, large mammals, and small ones too. He was willing to stop to see that wildlife, and to take photos. He knew his plants, and handed out samples for us to see seeds and such, and shared his identification guides that we kept in the back of the van. He was so interesting. One of the nicest things about Eric is that he is honest and humble. “Wow, I’ve never been asked that before and I don’t know the answer. Let’s ask Google!” And later. “Hey thanks for asking that. Now I can add that to what I can share with my next group.” His van is immaculate, has great Wi-Fi connection, and is REALLY comfortable. He provided each of us binoculars—really GOOD binocs. And he gave binocular focus lessons to ensure we got the best views. He drives with care. He asks for feedback throughout the day. Seriously, book this guy. You won’t be sorry!

Great value - This was a great experience with Eric. My cousin and I booked Eric for a grand canyon tour. It was very informative and we were able to see unknown parts of the park for an expanded view. He was very knowledgeable. Eric started the tour with complimentary snacks and drinks including hot coffee/tea. It was a whole spread! The tour vehicle was decked out with wifi, charging cords and more, which was appeciated. We ended the tour with lunch at a local eatery. This was a full experience and worth the value. Eric had binoculars that added a nice touch and offered a closer view of the canyon.

A great tour we will never forget. - Our trip down the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon was excellent. Our Guide, Eric Albanese, was an extremely knowledgeable guide. Seemed he was an expert at the history behind the Canyon and the many different plants and trees all along our trip. He not only knew the name, he also explained how the local Native People used the plants for many different applications which made it very interesting. He was also very knowledgeable of the Indian tribes that are native to the area. He loved to share his knowledge about the park and wildlife which made for a very enjoyable 4 hours. Our tour ended at the eastern part of the park where the terrible plane crash had occurred back in 1956. It had a tremendous panoramic view with a beautiful view of the emerald colored Colorado River. We stopped several times to see Elk and he explained that the indigenous Elk had been hunted to extinction and how Rocky Mountain Elk were brought in to replace them due to how they supported the ecosystem. We would highly recommend Grand Canyon Explorer Tours for your personalized tour. When we return on our next visit, we most definitely will be contacting Eric to take us on a different tour. We gave him 5 stars and if we could have rated him 10 stars, we would have. Thank you Eric for making our day so enjoyable.
