- Buckhorn Island State Park - Your local guide will start with a 1 hour leisurely kayak ride along a natural creek located in Buckhorn Island State Park, filled with natural smells and sounds of native bird, tree, dragonfly, flower and turtle species, which you will navigate and photograph. After kayaking, you will hike through the canopy of the park and golden meadow for approximately 1 hour along the mighty Niagara River. You’ll see where the rapids begin to pick up right before you stop for lunch at the river’s edge. Your guide will tell the tale of The Maid of the Mist of Niagara Falls, a bit of Grand Island and Niagara Falls history, and offer time on your own to explore and photograph the nature preserve and mist of the mighty Niagara Falls. Chicken wing or alternatively, subs or Indian lunch will be provided based on dietary needs.

Venture to a wildlife haven where turtles and other creatures abound in the tree cover and open lands of Buckhorn Island State Park, located in the picturesque Grand Island, NY. Your trail guides are local inhabitants of Niagara Falls and Grand Island, they will accompany you throughout the journey, educating you on Niagara Fall’s explorative history and the folklore of The Maid of the Mist. Grand Island is the exclusive nesting site for herons on the Niagara River, and during your trek, you can see Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Black-Crowned Night Herons, and little green herons. You will also enjoy a regional favourite for lunch - Buffalo wings and New York-Style Pizza.
