Whales Watching in Mauritius - Great Whale Watching experience! Fast boats and interesting explanations. What we also found really good was that they didn't allow people to get into the water as this is stressing the whales. We could see other boats were allowing this and the whales were then diving away...

Whale watching with respect for animal welfare 🐋❤️ - Thanks to the TOP team of Dolswim. They try to protect animal welfare as much as possible. We have seen 3 female, 1 male and 2 baby sperm whales, with the necessary distance and always at the side of the whales. Despite high waves, we felt safe with several children at the experienced team. They gave us a lot of new knowledge about the sperm whales and knew the individual animals. Unfortunately, there were several boats that allowed tourists to snorkel with the baby whales and this seems to happen every day and almost at any time ! It was tw. 10 tourists at the same time far too close to the babies in the water and touched them! These cannot dive and depend on regular feeding with milk. The babies were separated from the adult female whales by the intrusive boats. Please stop booking such offers just to take some great photos for your ego!!!! This is a big stress situation for the whales especially the babies! The logical consequence is that the stressed animals will leave Mauritius and the population will drastically decrease!!! Please stand up for these wonderful animals and do not bother them 🙏🏽

Amazing experience! - We had an amazing time! Saw whales far and close throughout our two hour excursion—even got to see a mother and baby whale swimming pretty close to us, with the baby leaping out of the water multiple times. Really outstanding.

THIS IS A MUST DO! - We booked this trip as it had the best reviews and they weren’t wrong. From start to finish, everything was just brilliant. We were a little late so called ahead and they were very patient. The safety talk was good and one of our party who was a little scared of boats was instantly reassured. They explained we may not see the whales as they don’t see them every day but we were utterly blessed. We saw a mother and her calf (Humpback Whales) several times and as she swam we would speed across the ocean to see them again. It was absolutely breathtaking and something I will cherish forever. Please be aware that swimming and getting in the water is ILLEGAL and should not be done, the whales deserve respect and to be treated with care, do not book with any tour operator who will allow you to do this, they have no consideration for the animals. Dolswim though were responsible and respectful. Such an incredible experience ⭐️

Good experience. - It's really amazing to have whale watching. The operator helped to change the tour date. That helps us to have a chance to attend the activity before we leave.

Pay attention to animal welfare, recommend! - Tolle Tour. We were about 9 people on a boat (which had a toilet!). Drinks were also available. The meeting place is easy to find and we were lucky to find a parking space nearby with our rental car, is pretty tight there but doable. Quick check, get a life jacket, then we started. We were told in english that on this day the chance of seeing sperm whales was 90%. and it was again clearly emphasized that you can only observe and not snorkel, for the welfare of the animals. That's exactly how it is. When we discovered the first whale, there were about 4-5 other boats. Unfortunately, there were probably also private providers there, because there were probably 4 people in the water, so close that they could have touched him. You can't. Our boat was careful, sailed slowly and always considered the animals. We saw a total of 4 sperm whales, including a baby that we came very close to but at a reasonable distance from. Enough time for underwater filming with a stick or simply taking photos. A great deal of effort was made and sufficient time was taken. All in all a great trip and with this provider definitely recommended!

Mindful Observation Of Sperm Whales - This is a once in a lifetime experience. Please be mindful that you are encroaching on Sperm Whales predominantly during their rest times. Other companies will advertise swimming with them and will drive a speed boat at the front of a whale and shove you into the sea with them.... this is illegal and inhumane . It also unnerves the Whale and forces them to dive sooner than they need to, preventing them from getting adequate rest times. This group are very knowledgeable and mindful of the Whales, they do not allow swimming ! It is not guaranteed to see a Whale but if you do it's the most humbling of experiences to see these majestic and peaceful creatures. I can't help but think due to saturation of the tourists and the need to make money, Whale watching here will be on a time limit because I am sure the Whales will soon tire of the constant harassment of the need to have selfie with them over the need for them to rest, feed and mate for their existence.

DOLSWIM 2 1/2 hour Whale Watching Trip - DOLSWIM 2 1/2 hour whale watching trip. The boat was comfortable enough although most of the seating inside. Option to stand outside when whales spotted. Organisers very respectful of the whales and the law with regards to protecting the whales in their natural habitat and not allowing swimming/snorkelling (it’s illegal). My main problem was that so many who offer whale watching tours ignore this. We went out at 10:00 and by 11:00 we’re at the area the whales live…along with about 8 other motor powered boats all buzzing around. A majority of them were full of tourists with snorkel equipment who jumped in at any sniff of a whale. Altercation and shouting across the water between skippers not and skippers allowing people in the water. Whales spooked and diving, only coming up to breath, I felt deeply saddened by the whole sorry experience. I saw one young sperm whale for a short time surrounded by snorkelers splashing around. Made me feel deeply sad. I wish I hadn’t gone and been witness to/part of (in motorised power boat), such disrespectful and cruel behaviour.
