Best Brixton Food Tour! - Highly recommend if you want to experience London through Brixton culture and food! Our guide Obi is so deeply entrenched in the culture and it shows in his stories and memories of growing up there. The food is an explosion of taste, history, authenticity and experience of black people who immigrated here from Africa and the Caribbean! Truly a great tour all around!

Don't eat before you go! - Wow! wow! Wow! I wasn't excited about a walking tour in the rain even though there would be food. However, as soon as we met Obi and was greeted with his infectious smile, all was well. He shared tales of his childhood along with the historical events that led to Brixton. We made several stops along the way, viewing local artworks and establishments as well as sampling delicious morsels from the culture. The marketplace is filled with many shops and eateries. At the end of the tour, we sat down to a full course meal of culinary delights. Needless to say, rain nor walking was an issue. The 2 hours we spent was hardly enough! Take your family and your friends!

Beauty of Brixton’s Black British Culture in a tour - Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide than Obi to show us the past and present of Brixton. We are Black British and have been to London plenty of times so exploring Brixton by ourselves would have been easy enough but thank goodness we came across Obi’s tour on TikTok. If it wasn’t for Obi we wouldn’t have uncovered or experienced an ounce of Brixton’s hidden gems. When we go to places in the UK we like to go to “black areas” to be around our culture and compare living experiences. This tour allowed us to do exactly this! Firstly, Obi’s communication with us prior to the tour was great, when we met him he was early, waiting for us and had such a warm energy. We were 3 women and he did not give any kind of creepy vibes. He was nice and friendly and we felt safe in his company throughout the whole tour. He pulled out a tablet with old pics of where we were standing and this is where our interactive history lesson began. This tablet cross-referencing happened throughout the whole tour & Obi seemed to be so knowledgeable about everything and all the locals seemed to know and respect him. He took us to Brixton village, street food vendors, restaurants, showed us artist murals and gave us the stories behind them. He engaged in our jokes and was able to have intellectual conversations about a variety of things, places and people we observed on our journey. We’re Jamaican background so a lot of the food were our favourites like patties, jerk chicken, rice and peas, breadfruit and even rum cake. He introduced us to African food as well so we tried jellof rice and puff puff. We basically ended up having a 6 course meal and there was so much food, that we had left overs for lunch the next day. I couldn’t believe how prepared obi was, at one point my phone was dying from taking so many pics. He pulled portable charger out of his rucksack and was able to save my day. Obi also knew it was my Mom’s birthday and he surprised her at the end of the tour with a little cake and he gave us a lovely handwritten card. To be honest this was the last activity we did on our London trip and what a way to end on a high. We were genuinely buzzing after this. Thank you Obi for facilitating such a wonderful experience and for being the perfect gentleman. We would definitely feel confident coming back to Brixton again to explore some of the places you showed us further. May your business continue to flourish and God Bless you🙏🏾❤️

THE BEST FOOD TOUR IN LONDON - I do a lot of food tours when I travel. It’s a great way to learn about a city and enjoy new cuisines. I have done 7 food tours all over London, exploring different neighborhoods. This is - hands down - the best tour there is. The food is INCREDIBLE. I’m still dreaming about the flaky, hot out of the oven beef patties. And Brixton itself is beautiful, full of culture and history. But Obi is what makes this tour special. He is doing this out of love and it shows. His personal story and roots in the community make this tour deeply meaningful. His steadfast support of black-owned businesses is inspiring and exciting. And it’s clear the community loves him. Seeing people joyously greet him while we were walking around spoke to my soul. Do this tour. You will love it.
