An objective review - I always do my best to provide objective reviews on TripAdvisor so here is mine for Bustronome London. We were booked on their afternoon tea tour yesterday and I have to say that the bus was very clean and tidy and the dining area would rival a lot of restaurants in London. I particularly liked the holders on each table so that glasses and bottles could be held securely during the journey. The tea was well-presented and somewhat different to the bog-standard afternoon teas provided by some other suppliers. If I had to make one adverse comment it would be about the commentary which was provided by hand-held units. These needed to be 'dabbed' on a map of the route in order to hear the commentary. Once the food was on the table this was not always easy and I noted that a number of customers didn't bother to use them at all. We know London quite well so could recognize the landmarks and knew something of their history. I wonder how a new visitor to London would get on. Perhaps it might be worthwhile considering putting the commentary over the PA system via ear-buds as some other tours do. Just a thought.

Lovely. - I was so excited for this! The coach was lovely, modern and clean. View from the top of the double decker is second to none. Air con was very loud, hard to have a conversation. We had the afternoon tea: savoury course was perfect, no faults. Delicious and left you wanting more. Sweets...mostly fabulous, chocolate fondue needs to be cleaned up a bit though. Three tiny peices of the saddest looking fruit, the strawberry was either frozen or 3 seconds away from mouldy. The rest of the sweets however were delicious especially the merveilleux de Fred and the lemon meringue. The scones....calling them scones is a bit generous, they were more like biscuits. Which would have been fine, if they had been served with real cream. I cannot believe a place that prides itself on their food serves canned whipped cream with scones. Views were perfect. Hot drinks were great.
