Experience the most entertaining 90-minute tour in London. Witness the Guard Changing ceremony with a skilled and praised guide who will show you the prime spots to view the event. On the journey, you will glimpse palaces, royal parks, royal residences and might even get a chance to walk along with the guards. The expedition is captivating for grown-ups, enjoyable for kids, and is likely to be the peak of your London visit. Please be aware, the part of the ceremony that takes place in the courtyard of Buckingham Palace will not be visible but we will cover the ceremony’s other noteworthy scenes.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- There are no toilet or refreshment breaks on this tour
- Tour operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Ceremony can be altered at the discretion of the British Army, or occasionally due to rain
- All tours are dependent on the British Army’s schedule
- No dogs are allowed on the tour other than guide dogs.
- We do not see the section of the ceremony which occurs on the courtyard of Buckingham Palace, but instead we observe the highlights of the ceremony in other locations.
- No videoing of the guide unless they have given permission
- Arrive ten minutes before the tour for check in. Out of respect for other customers, we do not wait for latecomers.
- Travellers should have good mobility as we encounter three flights of steps and march at the same pace as the guards at one point

Changing the Guard rocks with Emily! - Wonderfully interesting, Emily was terrific sharing historical facts & perspectives, along with current standards & procedures. Really loved this tour!

Worth every penny! - Rachel our guide was amazing! She was enthusiastic, informative and full of insights. Learned a lot about the history of not only the changing of the guard but also the royal family. Her knowledge of the event allowed us to see things we would have never even known were happening around us.

Team Angie, Let’s Go! - My wife and I joined the Changing of the Guard guided walking tour this morning and had an amazing time. When we arrived our guide Angie quickly sorted out the check in and gave us a run down of what to expect throughout the tour. We stopped at a number of buildings, statues, and historical locations, and Angie’s knowledge and story telling along the way were top notch. The locations where we stopped for the palaces are great for viewing the old guard coming off and the new guard arriving. Plenty of opportunities for great photos. We would highly recommend this tour, and Team Angie.

No brainer - Wasn’t sure what to expect but felt we got the “insiders” tour. Our guide Rachael avoided the usual “tourist” mistakes of where to stand and she moved us around to several locations quickly to maximize our views. We never would have seen so much without the tour. Rachael was friendly and full of historical facts which enhanced the experience.

Informative and fun-loving time with the Changing of Guards! - A very lively, informative, and sometimes funny tour!! Our guide Angie regales us with so many interesting stories of the Royal family and British History, interjecting a lot of humor! When we arrived at the Palace, I wish we were closer to the Guards, but she chose to give us the higher-up view which gave a better overview of the parade leading up to the Palace. But overall it was fantastic!

Better doing this on your own - Booked this as it was really ‘sold up’ it was a waste of money and a real disappointment
You will see the changing of the guards better on your own - maybe not right by Buckingham palace unless you get there super early
The guide took us to the starting point - we watched the guards come out and before they had taken a step she had us running down to the bottom and up the mall where they walk but by now the crown is three deep and you cannot see a thing
If we had stood at the bottom of the road - which was empty when we arrived we could have watched them walk down and then if you want you could run up along and listen to the band but you won’t see them
I would not recommend this - do it on your own
Either get there early and stand by Buckingham palace and watch the whole thing - we had to meet the guide at 9h15 so really if you going to meet at that time you may as well go to Buckingham palace
Otherwise stand at the bottom of the road where they come out from and you will have a fab view watching them walk down towards you and then they turn right up to Buckingham palace
A real disappointment - wish we had not booked and spent the money on something else - all you get with this is hearing the band as you ‘march’ ten meters away and don’t see anything
