Fantastic tour - would 100% recommend! - What a great tour, Nick is a fantastic guide. Without trying to scare the participants with unnecessarily gory anecdotes, he captivated us with the way he told the stories. Our summary: very knowledgeable, direct and without sugar-coating, encouraging critical thinking, imparting a lot of knowledge but never boring. In addition, he made us laugh a lot and was thus able to lighten up the serious and tragic topic. We learnt more in these two hours than in many a history lesson. Nick managed to not just list empty facts, but to help us get an idea of life in the 19th century and also to get us to take a critical look at reports on the subject. We (two parents, three children 17-23) would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. You're in for a very informative and entertaining evening.

All the 5-star reviews aren't a coincidence... It's a excellent tour & guide - I recently joined this Jack the Ripper tour and was pleasantly surprised. Ironically, what makes this tour truly great is how Nick shifts the focus away from Jack the Ripper and spotlights his victims, giving them back their identity, which history has often overlooked. He headlines the grim events, but primarily this tour delves into the lives of these women who were mercilessly murdered, offering a moving and respectful narrative. His tour paints a vivid picture of life in the East End around that time, giving you a broader context around these murders, so you can better understand how the sensationalised historical narrative has come to be. What really sets their tour apart is Nick' engaging personality. He balances the heavy subject matter with light humour and charismatic delivery. Whilst there's a lot a info, and it's clear that Nick is very knowledgable on the subject, the tour was always engaging and distilled all info and details down into clear and concise terms. Despite having lived in London my whole life, and having seen these tours groups when I've been out and about in the East End, I'd never been on one myself until now. It was an excellent and insightful experience and I'd thoroughly recommend it, whether you're a tourist visiting or just a curious Londoner.

Most authentic, engaging & entertaining tour of London! - This was among the best, most thorough, and engaging tours I have done. Because of Nick’s ability to both inform and entertain - this is a tour for all ages. With a degree in history, he is knowledgeable and emphasizes the actual human experiences of the times in Victorian London to help his audience better understand and relate. He has a passion for authenticity - as many guides tend to embellish without factual information. I highly recommend Loudman Tours to anyone looking for something that goes beyond the standard storytelling.

A true East End adventure brought to life by the effervescent Nick! - We had such a fantastic time on Nick's Jack the Ripper tour. He provides a moving tour through these murders by giving us the full perspective of the women who sadly lost their lives. As a historian and East End local you benefit from truly unique insights into not just the murders but the East End during that era (as well as some bonus local facts along the way!). I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough to anyone who wants to really dig into what life was like in 19th century London. Covering the good, the bad and of course the ugly. Buy your tickets, put your comfy shoes on and get ready for a tour through the dark, mysterious streets of the infamous East End!

Outstanding experience for the price - I went on this tour yesterday evening and had a fantastic time. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable not only about Jack the Ripper but the entire area in general. There is much detail in what he shares with you and you are guaranteed to learn things you did not know, or have any factual inaccuracies dispelled (it turns out there are many!). Although there is a ton of information Nick is excellent at keeping things light throughout the tour with his wit and charisma. I genuinely cannot recommend this tour enough!

Phenomenal tour! Different than all others - Phenomenal! A completely different tour than what I expected in the best way possible. Nick the tour guide was so interesting, funny and entertaining. This is by far the best Jack The Ripper tour you can find, its interactive, not too scary, and really makes you think and not just listen to facts but also try to put things together. Nick used to work in the musicals industry and you can real sense his acting skills as he delivers the guiding in the tour like a performance! Must do tour when you're in London!
