Fun walking tour - recently joined the Jack the Ripper tour, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Milo, our guide, truly brought the dark and chilling history of Victorian London to life. His storytelling was captivating, with just the right mix of historical detail, suspense, and respect for the victims. Milo’s knowledge of the era, the locations, and the infamous case was impressive, and he made the tour engaging for everyone in the group. He didn’t just narrate events; he painted vivid pictures of life in Whitechapel during the time of the murders, making it feel like we were stepping back in time.

We left early - The tour guide arrived about 20 minutes late, which was annoying but it happens. From the little we could hear, the facts were interesting but the group was so large and her voice did not project well. It was hard to get in close enough to hear her speak and if there was any other background noise you had no shot of hearing anything. We left midway.

Disappointing and Disrespectful - The tour was really unsatisfying. It consisted of a walk through the Brick Lane neighbourhood with a series of wikipedia-like basic facts surrounding the five murders which was, in all, a disrespectful telling of the actions of a serial killer. For anyone hoping to leave the tour with a sense that they understand something of the historical context or significance of the Jack the Ripper story will be sorely disappointed. Save your money and buy "The Five" The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper by Hallie Rubenhold. It is a much more respectful way of learning about the subject.

Total waste - If you know anything about this case, then you know all that you’re gonna know after this tour already. . Most of the places that these murders happened are totally gone and built over. Did a massive amount of walking to see nothing. Everything is gone except for a church. Our guide also said a couple age inappropriate things considering there were children in the group. They weren’t my children but they definitely were too young to hear “she might have been giving out hand jobs”. I was upset for the parents. And this was said multiple times. Our guide also had a very thick accent which was difficult to understand. This tour seems to be in a seedy part of town as well. Just be prepared.
