Excellent informative tour - An excellent informative tour! Our guide Philip had lots of detailed knowledge, offering a clear sense of the landscape and social history which really brought the era to light. He was sensitive to the real nature of the crimes and the lives of the victims, but kept the tour entertaining and engaging throughout. Would highly recommend and we’ll be looking at other tours from this company on future trips!

Knowledgeable and engaging tour - Took my teenage son to help with his gcse history. Our guide, Philip, was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was very interesting and entertaining, but without sensationalising the subject. Good value.

10/10 - Jack The Ripper with Philip is a great evening out! - Some friends invited me along to the Jack The Ripper tour on a Saturday evening and I wasn't sure what to expect. Turned out to be great! This was because the tour guide Philip was amazing! He got the mix absolutely perfect. Friendly, informative and funny! He is a total professional. And he was able to answer some really obscure questions from one of the group which really impressed me.

The ripper tour with Philip. - Our guide Philip was brilliant. We had a great time and I think his knowledge and enthusiasm rubbed off on quite a few. The tour does involve quite a bit of legwork, but it was massively informative and is really interesting. The victims were spoken about with respect. I would definitely recommend the tour.

Rude Guide and Missed Opportunities - We found the guide exceptionally rude, and due to this, we found ourselves zoning out of what she was saying. When arriving at the meeting point, this is right on a large crossroads, and nobody from the team was holding a sign to signify they were part of the tour. Due to this, we found the place to meet exactly at the meeting time - I mentioned us being late, and the guide retorted with, "Well, these people aren't late," motioning to the group that arrived before us. From then on, she was just so unnecessarily rude, asking my fiancé and me to move out of her way at one point because we were slightly ahead of her when moving location, and apparently we were blocking her view on an empty street... Neither of us are overweight, and it just felt like she was being rude for no reason. When stopped at one point, somebody who was not part of the tour showed interest in the talk, and you could see he was completely enthralled. The female guide with short blonde hair told him very firmly it was a "private tour" - a completely missed opportunity that could have been so easily dealt with by saying, "I'm really sorry, but this is a paid tour. Here is a card if you would like to join another evening". The places that she stopped outside of seemed pretty random too - an NHS Clinic on Brick Lane and a fancy new glass office. I appreciate that London is so well-lit now and has changed a lot, but some of the places she stopped outside of made it very hard to transport ourselves back. All in all, we felt that this could have been so good, but being so rude and dictatorial regarding where people were standing ruined the whole experience for us.
