It's worth the trip - even a cold December evening - Was on a fantastic trip with Allan, who was immensely vivid in his descriptions without it becoming for the mark. We had read the lesson in advance and heard the podcast about Jack the Ripper, but Allan managed to create a picture of the society of the time and came up with details that made it worth the whole trip.

Great tour! - Great tour with a very knowledgeable guide! The tour took you to the various crime locations but also gave you a better idea of daily life for these people at the time.

Jack’s Never left - The tour was lead by an expert who has written his own book about Jack the Ripper. Very knowledgeable and charismatic tour guide

Not quite what I expected - I thought the streets would be more olden style. Some were cobblestone and the history is very interesting.

Advertised as 15-person group, but ended up 60+ size - First, let me say the guide was very good, so my poor review is not against him. My warning to others is the tour company Top Sights Tours advertised this tour as “max 15 people.” It’s even priced a little higher than other identical tours, I presumed because of the small group size. When we arrived at the meeting spot, there were two guides and more than a hundred guests! We asked one guide where the 15-person group was and she told us there is no such tour. When I showed her the wording on the booking, she said “oh, they need to update that. That was just during Covid.” The second guide we spoke to said he was so sorry but some guides didn’t show up, so they have to make larger groups. Our group ended up having more than 60 people! It was massive. We couldn’t hear most of the tour bc we couldn’t get close enough to hear. We almost got hit by a car in the chaos of trying to heard such a large group across the street. It was a disaster. I called Trip Advisor immediately and asked for a refund. They told is it would take 72 hours. When I got home, no refund. I called them back and was told Top Sights Tours denied my refund, despite their false advertising. Trip advisor told me to call them, but their number only has a recording saying we must email them. I have, and I have not heard back. My $158 (four of us) is likely gone. Buyer beware, as Trip Advisor has NO AUTHORITY to remedy problems. They are just a third-party. My best advice is skip Trip Advisor, book directly via the tour companies and AVOID booking with Top Sights Tours. (Note: I still recommend doing a Ripper tour. We’ve done it before and had a great time.)

Horrible - The tour that I signed up and paid for was not the one I received. I was at the location as advised well I advance and when your guides started calling for people I specifically asked am I at the right tour and they said yes. I paid for a smaller group tour but our group was nearly 30 people. I couldn't hear the tour guide most of the time and several times my family and I were left behind by several hundred feet. I want my money back ASAP.
