Tour of Kensington Gardens with High Tea - We booked a tour of Kensington Gardens with High Tea. We met our Tour Guide, Doug, after following the instructions on the time and place to meet. There were two other people who had booked the same tour. Unfortunately they arrived late. Doug was very apologetic (even though it wasn't his fault!). This didn't spoil our experience as we luckily had a dry bright day. Doug guided us through the gardens stopping to explain the features and history and kindly took several photos for us. The High Tea at the end of the tour was the icing on the cake. We had a very pleasant morning and would highly recommend this tour.

1000% recommend for history and FUN - We had the most wonderful morning on the Kensington Palace Gardens and Royal High Tea tour. Our tour guide, Astrid, was AMAZING. Her knowledge of the gardens and the history was incredible and she was very personable throughout the tour. When we got to tea, she showed us the proper etiquette and shared even more history. We adored her and felt like she was family by the end of our tour. 1000% recommend for history and fun. It was our favorite part of our trip!

Tea for two - A wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving. They even had a turkey wrap. We were the envy of everyone. We felt so civilized.

Tea for two… - It’s probably partly our fault but we had a tour of Kensington Gardens at 1 o’clock followed by an afternoon tea. I must confess I thought we would be meeting at Kensington Gardens at 1 o’clock, but alas, we were supposed to meet at a train station up the road. We went straight to the orangery had our afternoon tea, which was very nice and the service was impeccable, but I did notice that the afternoon tea was just £60 pound per person and the tour and the afternoon tea in total cost me £240 pounds for two people Which given this was just a tour of the gardens for 50 minutes seems very excessive even for London. To be fair to the tour operator, they did ring us to see where we were, but we were already being served our lunch.

We got kicked out of our $300+ high tea at Kensington Palace before we were even half through with our food. - The walk in Kensington Gdns was wonderful, but when we got to the high tea, which was what I thought I was buying (I didn’t even know there was a garden walk included,) we had no sooner been served than we were told we had to leave in 15 minutes. They were emptying the restaurant & it didn’t matter that they had only just put our tea service on our table & we had barely started eating, we couldn’t finish our food & tea, we had to put it into boxes & leave! I asked for my tea in a to-go cup since I couldn’t drink it there, & our server had to go to the cafe next door to get one, so the staff glared at me while I waited. They were clearing off our table while I sat there, rushing me off. Then they were upset that I needed to use the bathroom before I left! One lady was scolding me bc they were supposed to close 15 minutes before when she literally came into the bathroom to get me, so I couldn’t dry my hands but had to leave with wet hands! And the reason I was still there was bc they didn’t have to-go cups so it took the waiter 10 minutes to go next door to get one. Bc they’re such an upscale restaurant that they probably don’t keep to-go cups on hand bc allow their customers to finish their tea!!!! We paid more than $150 each for a high tea at this fancy reata & we’ve done them at the Ritz, Fortnum & Mason, & other such places, & they let us take our time & longer over our tea. They gave us great service & made sure we had a wonderful time. This was absolutely ridiculous!!!! I was very disappointed bc only had one cup of tea there & half my food before being kicked out of their restaurant. Bad experience! 👎👎
