‘the loveliest castle in the world’. With 500 acres of landscaped parkland to explore and impeccably maintained gardens to enjoy, it’s easy to see why this beautiful castle was a favoured castle of King Henry VIII, who gifted it to his first wife, Catherine of Aragon.

In its 900-year history, the castle has been home to no fewer than six queens and served many functions, including acting as a garrison, prison and the stately private home of its most recent owners. Learn all about this and more as our expert tour guide brings its fascinating story to life.

Thumbs up 👍🏼 - Thumbs up tour with Meghan 👍🏼 This tour was the best - we have a really enjoyable day. Meghan was so personable and kind. She was not supposed to be our guide but stepped in and gave us the best day. Thank you also to Marlon who drives like a pro! We highly recommend this tour with this company

Great out of London tour 😊 - Really nice tour to visit three completely different sites. Our guide was Megan and she was so great. I don’t think she sat down the entire trip, she was constantly up and down the coach talking to all the passengers individually, answering questions, making suggestions for dinner and other tours to do - she deserves a medal 🥇 Our driver Marlan was also great and so polite! Thank you to you both and thank you to Evan Evans for the additional bits that you added to enhance the trip to make up for the hiccup at the start!

Accessibility and genuineness - I had a fantastic experience travelling with Kevin and Merlin - very efficient, informative and polite I am a solo traveller in my 30s, my fellow travellers averaged 50s The tour covered a lot in the amount of time it had on hand (set to the itinerary) - please be careful to review it to set expectations correctly (for example, the trip wont include a tour of the Dover castle) This trip doesn’t require hiking skills - but it does require walking on cobbled streets, beach, old buildings (built without accessibility options at all times)

We loved our day trip - Kevin was an amusing, engaging guide for the day. Everything went off without a hitch: comfortable coach, adequate time to explore and enjoy each attraction, and informative guidance along the way. We learned plenty of interesting history! Marlon did a superb job of driving us to our destinations and back.

Guided tour with Kevin - Kevin was an amazing tour guide. He was funny and had great information about the history of the royal families! He made us laugh and kept us entertained the entire trip. Marlon was a surperb driver and also tagged along with Kevin in his jokes and funny stories. They both made our tour worth the money.

A well-paced tour with equal parts relaxing and exciting! - Went on the Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, and Dover day tour on a whim and it was completely worth it! Just enough time to enjoy everything without rushing, but not so much free time you end up bored. Kevin, our guide, was well informed and very entertaining! Marlin was our driver and got us to and from each location safely and efficiently. We decided not to purchase tickets to the Cathedral and spent the time shopping in Canterbury instead and had the loveliest time. 11/10 If I could!
