Highlights
  • Leeds Castle - Described as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ by Lord Conway, Leeds Castle sits in 500 acres of landscaped parkland across two idyllic islands, deep in the heart of the magnificent Kent countryside. Early arrival ensures an almost private visit of Leeds Castle, where Henry VIII retreated to escape the plague raging in London during his reign.
  • The White Cliffs of Dover - Marvel at the White Cliffs, as you drive past on your journey to the next stop
  • Battle of Britain Memorial - The Battle of Britain Memorial is a monument to aircrew who flew in the Battle of Britain. It is sited on the White Cliffs at Capel-le-Ferne, near Folkestone, on the coast of Kent. Walk towards the viewpoint for stunning sights of the White Cliffs.
  • Canterbury Cathedral - Centre of English Christianity and home to a succession of 104 Archbishops since Augustine, Canterbury is a magnificent medieval city that’s a must for any history buff. Discover the scene of Archbishop Thomas Becket’s gruesome murder at Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Learn the intriguing history behind this captivating masterpiece of medieval architecture. Marvel at the cathedral’s spectacular stained glass windows, many of which have survived from the late 12th and early 13th centuries.
  • Greenwich - Overlooking the River Thames, Greenwich is a stunning World Heritage site bustling with fine maritime landmarks. See the Old Royal Naval College designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and the world–famous Cutty Sark, a fascinating 19th–century clipper ship.
  • Cutty Sark - The Cutty Sark is a clipper ship built in the United Kingdom in the 18th century.
A tea clipper, the Cutty Sark was built on the River Leven near Dumbarton in Scotland in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line. It was one of the last and fastest tea clippers ever built, having been built at the end of a long period of design development that had been halted when sailing ships were replaced by steam propulsion.
  • Old Royal Naval College - Founded in 1873, The Old Royal Naval College serves as the magnificent centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich, London, described as having “outstanding universal value” and being the “finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles” by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
  • Thames River - Get a fresh perspective on London’s attractions with our River Thames boat ride from Greenwich to Embankment Pier, passing Tower Bridge and stunning St. Paul’s Cathedral along the route.

Leeds/Canterbury/Cliffs Tour - My family took two Golden Tours tours while visiting England. They were both great, but the one taken on 7/20 was exceptional. Our Guide, Peter Dragon, managed to smoothly guide the tour by switching back and forth between English and Spanish. It was pretty impressive to hear him share various facts while jumping back and forth between both languages. We were taken to Leeds Castle which my family and I enjoyed very much. Next, we were taken to see the White Cliffs while visiting the Battle of Britain Memorial. The views were breathtaking, but the memorial was also deeply moving. We then travelled to Canterbury and had ample time to visit the cathedral while walking through the streets of Canterbury and stopping for lunch. The background of Thomas Becket was shared during our journey, and plenty of tributes to Becket were found around Canterbury and within the cathedral. This is a topic that is especially interesting to me, so I loved the experience. We were taken to Greenwich to complete our journey on the Thames. The view from the Royal Observatory was stunning, and the Thames journey allowed us to see multiple sights. If you have a chance to do any your, do this one!

Amazing Tour! - An absolutely amazing experience and what made it 5 star was the best tour guide ever Pete "The Dragon"! we thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson and all the places we were able to see. The highlight was Canterbury with its quaint town and mind blowing cathedral, truly spectacular. Also, the walk thru Greenwich was a bonus along with the river ride along the Thames River. I have to say that Mario our driver was equally amazing 👏. If you're thinking about this tour, do yourself a favor and book it because you won't find a better one

Great sampling of destinations - Perfect sampling of these traditional destinations. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, and our driver was prompt with otherwise uneventful travel (which is a good thing!) We may explore some of these places more some day if we have time.

A great day trip, especially for a solo traveller. - Stefan and Jorel were fantastic, and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Stefan share interesting, fun facts as we travelled, which was a lovely way to learn more about London, but just the la access we were scheduled to visit.

Definitely Recommend!! - I did this tour as a birthday present to myself and was best decision. English culture is very special, especially with Sokol and Oliver as a tour guide and bus operator team. Oliver had so much personality and gave great historical references, and anecdotes. He was a character in the movie Spectre (James Bond). Within the tour Leeds Castle was beautiful and gave an intimate look into aristocratic life. Canterbury Cathedral was very memorable, especially with the story of Thomas Beckett, the first Archduke of Canterbury. The town itself is beautiful. A river cruise on the river Thames is also included at the end.

Seeing lots in one day - This tour covers a lot of events in one day. Sadly, there were bus problems and we left 45 minutes late so I felt a bit rushed all day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information. More time was needed at Canterbury cathedral to fully enjoy it. Leeds castle was beautiful and the white cliffs of Dover and the Battle of Britain memorial were heartwarming. We ended in Greenwich where we took a boat down the Thames river, going under the tower bridge. Glad we had this adventure.

Great day trip from London - Great guide and driver. Leeds Castle gave a glimpse back in time. Did not go to Dover but to near by Battle of Britain memorial for a quick stop plenty of time in Canterbury to see the cathedral and get a cup of tea and Sticky toffee pudding. Finished the day with a boat ride down the Thames from Greenwich to Westmister. Lovely day out.

Perfectly fine for a group this size - The bilingual tour became exhausting after the first introduction, and it was obvious that English speakers were thrown into a Spanish tour to fill it up. The driving by Mo was excellent and Pablo did an excellent job having to repeat everything in two languages. Leeds Castle was a disappointment in how they staged it; the description might have made it clear what you would see there. The White Cliffs were Ok although I enjoyed the museum of the Battle of Britain. I still would have preferred the more dramatic view of the cliffs than the patches of white we did see. Canturbury was quite interesting and probably the best stop on the tour. The “Thames cruise” is a misnomer - it is really a water taxi shuttle. Fun but not a cruise in the sense of a tour. Overall it was ok for a tour of this size. The experience would be better in a smaller group.
