Wonderful, informative, fun! - I love the concept of this tour - everyone thinks about Bloomsbury when you talk London and literature but I had no idea about Southwark until Adam enlightened me! It was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining, giving me so much insight into an area I know well but knew nothing of its literary connections. The walk was the perfect length, with enough stops for people to rest at if they needed, and Adam did some wonderful readings too which added a very special touch. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to literature lovers, and anyone wishing to learn more of London’s hidden history!

A wonderful and insightful walk of South East London. - Adam's literary walking tour is a captivating journey through the area's rich literary heritage. Our tour visited many poignant locations including a trip to the Marshalsea Prison site, where Charles Dickens' father was incarcerated, offering insights into how these experiences influenced Dickens' works. A surprise is the hidden statue of John Keats, providing a quiet moment of reflection on the poet's life and works. Though the locations themselves were fantastic to visit, it was Adam's passion for the authors and their work that was my main highlight, often stopping to read us extracts of stories and plays of these great writers. Overall, the tour expertly weaves together historical facts, analysis, readings, and personal stories, making it a highly recommended adventure for exploring the areas history and literature.

Super interesting and fun literary tour - I had a great time with That Literary Gent on our tour of Southwark. The walk took us on a super interesting path around some hidden gems in the area and we learned a lot about the literary history of the area at the same time! The guide was funny and informative and the addition of literary readings in certain locations was great and really set it apart from other similar tours.

Lovely tour in central london - Adam led our group through various alleyways and hidden garden in central that I would have never been or guessed to be associated with the literary giants we know and adore today. He was incredibly informative and engaging with his tour and I came away feeling as though I knew more about Dickens and Keats I never thought I needed! He really delved into the origins of the writers and how they came to be and how these locations are important parts of our literary history
