Southwark Cathedral - Southwark Cathedral is a stunning, hidden gem just off Borough Market and close to London Bridge tube station. It is the oldest church building in London. There has been a church on the grounds since 606 AD and it was also the site of Roman pagan worship.
Shakespeare himself was a resident of the parish, and there is a memorial there for him. It’s pretty certain that he attended services at the church given that his brother Edmund is buried within the church grounds (although quite where has been lost to the mists of time)
We will then take a stroll to our next destination. -
More London Place - We will stroll down to ‘More London’, a newly developed square with great views of The Tower of London and the impressive Tower Bridge.More London was developed between 2000 and 2010 and offers some of London’s most stunning uninterrupted river view office, leisure and retail space.
