Additional Information

This is the Original Aldgate East Jack the Ripper tour that has been operating since 1982. Our start point means that, within seconds of setting out, you are exploring the cobbled alleys and atmospheric old streets that have changed little since Jack the Ripper prowled their shadows. Our guides, Richard Jones, John Bennett, Angie Norman, Philip Hutchinson and Jeremy John are experts on the case and have between them written more than ten acclaimed books on the Jack The Ripper mystery. They are able to present you with a detailed account of the crimes that shook the world in 1888. However, they present those facts in a dramatic and entertaining fashion that is both entertaining and inspiring, and which helps bring the history of the crimes to vivid life. From the start, it is as though you are a part of the Victorian police investigation, as you sift the evidence, examine the facts, and debate the crimes and arrive at your own conclusions.

Jeremy is super cool. - JEREMY IS THE BOMB.COM! My friends and I had a great time. Two of us are Americans traveling and the other is a local so everyone can enjoy it no matter where you’re from. Again, I would like to specify, Jeremy was a great tour guide. He gave us fisty bumpies and all three of us have vowed to start saying that every time we give someone a fist bump. 100/10

Angie rocked! - The tour was great and very interesting. Angie was our guide and knew A LOT about Jack and his...antics. Unfortunately, we took the tour on the hottest day of the year, but it was still a great learning experience. Thank you, Angie!

Definitely include this tour on your trip! - Amazing experience all around. Had made an error when booking and they were quick to help me when I reached out via email. Day of the tour, the directions were clear and detailed for meeting up. The group was a good size, at least 20 of us, but had no trouble hearing or following Angie, our guide. She was incredible, very passionate and a wealth of information. Lots of detail regarding the social history at the time and a respectful and empathetic narrative from the victims' perspective. Angie even stayed afterwards to answer more questions and talk about other aspects of the case. And she was very helpful with directions to transportation after! We would definitely recommend this tour. We only had 2.5 days in london and it was a brilliant inclusion in our trip.

Jack the Ripper Walking Tour - If you are a Jack the Ripper aficionado (like me), this tour is a must. If you couldn’t care less about a 130-some-odd-year-old serial killer (like the rest of my family), this tour still has quite a lot to offer. Our guide, Philip (with one l), proved to be a master storyteller with a sharp wit and impeccable comedic timing, in addition to a knowledgeable historian, well versed in the details of Victorian-era Whitechapel, the murders, the victims, the suspects, the investigation, etc. Highly recommended.
