When in London…guided tour it!!! - We loved the history of the city and the stories of the buildings and bridges. We had the best guide. I didnt get his name but he was married with daughters and grand kids. He made the tour fascinating, fun and educational!

Very enjoyable and informative tour. - We thoroughly enjoyed our open top bus tour which was made all the more entertaining by Joe who conducted our audio tour. He was so very knowledgeable and filled our two hours with interesting and quite often light hearted facts. How he remembers it all is quite amazing! Daniel our driver was very professional and safely drove us around the busy streets. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Perfect way to oversee beautiful London - A brilliant day, seeing all top destinations in London with a detailed audio guide in several languages, we choose Spanish. Loved the on & off stops. Very helpful & knowledgeable drivers, my family from Mexico got a good taste of the historic buildings & past lives.

Emma the guide is AMAZING! - The start of the tour was horrible. A few descriptions on the audio and mostly just horrid music. Then, something amazing happened, EMMA THE TOUR GUIDE, hopped on our bus. Her whit, knowledge of London and it's history, in all the areas, was FANTASTIC!!!! She is the BEST GUIDE YOU COULD HAVE. Saved the tour and made our whole first time trip to London just simply amazing. Thank you EMMA!

Could Be Better – Explore Other Tour Options - Honestly, I didn’t love this tour—it really wasn’t worth the price to me. Finding the bus stop was very stressful, and we almost missed the bus. The guide couldn’t stand at the top, so we never even saw him. Plus, there were kids screaming the whole time, which made it super stressful. With so many other bus tour options in London, I’d definitely recommend trying a different company.

Silent Audio Fiasco, - This review relates to the Classic Tour (Blue Route) that departed from Kings Cross at 14.20 on 29/08/24. Four of us had travelled by early train for the day from Berwick upon Tweed and this tour was to be the highlight. My wife and I sat on the lower deck as she is disabled and we know London very well. Our two American relatives were on the top deck and had no knowledge of London. The charge was £39.00 each. Imagine our shock when our relatives came downstairs at the Lambeth Palace stop to say that neither they nor any other passenger had heard a commentary throughout the trip. The reason was that the two staff (driver and assistant) had not suppled any passenger with the required earphones when they boarded the bus. Said earphones sat undisturbed in a box behind the assistant. The driver and assistant seemed to talk incessantly between themselves throughout the journey, with the driver being the only real contact with boarding passengers, given that his assistant was on his mobile phone at each stop. I then contested the no audio issue with the two of them, from which point on the assistant handed out the earphones to subsequent boarders. There were hold-ups at each crossover point with other routes which would have been quicker if the assistant had helped the driver with the queries. We had the 18.00 train to catch back to Berwick and it looked as if that would be a close call. On my enquiring of this the assistant was constantly over-optimistic as to our arrival time back at KX viz 17.00. We got their at 17.50 and caught the train but by the skin of our teeth. Grey Line / Golden Tours have invested heavily in buses, maps, commentaries, computerisation and staff. Bu they need to train and seriously monitor their staff on the buses for whom, on this occasion, the tour seemed a day out and a very bad deal for the customers.

Very rude lady bus driver - This was my second trip, I took my husband first time and we had a fabulous guide with a mic , brilliant! Went with my daughter on 13th Sep and we were very disappointed. We got on bus and our tickets were checked, nobody said anything and we went to the top deck. We were expecting a commentary but nothing happened. It was too difficult to go down the stairs when the bus was moving to ask and when it stopped others were coming up the stairs., so we had to take in the view in silence! We could see others had ear devices but we had nothing! When we got off I told the driver that we didn’t get any commentary and she was very very rude and said it was our fault! I can’t describe how unpleasant she was! We had no idea that we needed the ear pieces. I assumed it was the same as the previous trip with a mic , she should have asked using her mic if everyone had ear devices before starting the tour! She was really really rude! I would advise anyone not to go on these golden tours, inconsistent! Next time I will be using the red buses, they were much fuller and the people looked happier. Totally rubbish, ruined what little time we had in London!
