Thames River Tour – Westminster to Greenwich - The Thames River tour from Westminster to Greenwich was an unforgettable experience! This journey was a perfect way to immerse myself in London’s rich history while taking in breathtaking views of its landmarks and architecture. The highlights included iconic sites like the Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Cutty Sark, all viewed from a unique riverside perspective. The boat itself was comfortable, and the ride offered plenty of opportunities for stunning photos. What made the tour truly exceptional, though, was the guide. Their commentary was a delightful mix of history, fascinating trivia, and hilarious anecdotes that had everyone engaged and laughing throughout. It felt more like a comedy show with a history lesson woven in, making the experience both educational and thoroughly entertaining. If you’re looking for a fun and informative way to explore London, this tour is a must-do. I’d take it again in a heartbeat!

Such a Wonderful Surprise - So much to see and do: shopping, Cutty Sack, Maritime College. Plan to visit again. Loved the cruise to get there.

Westminster to Greenwich - It was very cold up top but best views. That time of year. Commentary was informative. Finding the place was easy and all the staff we friendly and helpful.

Boat ride on River Thames to Greenwich - The dock & boat was easy to find. We sat inside on ground floor where there were tables & chairs. The commentator on the way to Greenwich was hilarious while both commentators (we booked a round trip) were filled with knowledge of the areas we passed by during the ride.

We had the best time! Great commentary from Captain Dean - We had the best time! My long distance boyfriend from Argentina is here visiting and this was a really amazing way of seeing the sights in a unique way. The ship we sailed on was called Hollywood, which had indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar selling coffee and snacks. We particularly loved Captain Dean’s commentary. It was super interesting. He included a lot of unique facts, he was personable, has a huge knowledge of London and most importantly was really funny! I learned a lot about my city that I’ve lived in for 10 years now. I got the impression they don’t always do commentary so I highly recommend asking for it when you board and maybe bring some cash/ change to tip. The sights were fantastic with a lot of great photo opportunities. We learnt a lot! Really worth it and pretty reasonably priced for what you get. A unique way to see London. Highly recommend - must ask for commentary - must bring an umbrella for unpredictable British weather

Tips please - Enjoyed the trip but the constant reminder of giving tips every five minutes coming around with a tip bucket was quite distracting from the purpose of the trip

Average - Limited. No audio guide as advertised, limited guide interpretation. Not what was advertised for the price. Really just a ferry ride with a few things pointed out along the way. Disappointing although the destination is worth the ride, as long as you leave enough time at the Greenwich end. Last ferry was 4.50pm. Again disappointingly early.

A great tour but the crew did not protect us from a drunk & abusive passenger - We would have rated this tour 5 stars - the commentary was really funny & interesting and we really enjoyed the journey to Greenwich. Unfortunately the journey back was awful. Me and my friend were sat in a booth together with our overnight bags, the boat was very quiet and there were loads of empty tables & seats. A drunk man boarded the boat, sat next to me in the booth, picked my own bag up and hit me with it. He was then verbally abusive to both me and my friend and as 2 young women we were both extremely scared, at one point we thought he was going to punch my friend. My friend went and told the crew and they witnessed the man intimidating me, but a crew member came over and told us all to get along. The man then spent the rest of the journey sitting next to me and drinking his own alcohol out of his bag, and we were terrified. We got off at the stop earlier than the one we needed because we were scared that he would follow us or hurt us off the boat. As he was sat next to me in the booth I could not get out without him moving, I was trapped against the window, but he purposefully ignored me when I asked him to let me out several times and then swore at me when he finally moved to let me get out of the booth. Although this was not the crew’s fault, they should have made him leave the boat, or should have had the police waiting for him at the next stop. All they did was say ‘sorry about that’ when we got off the boat. We cried after getting off and the staff at a nearby restaurant took better care of us than the crew did. I think the crew need better safety training and protocols to keep passengers safe.

Over priced - It is a glorified ferry ride. Yes, on the way north you get commentary about your surroundings. (Nice view of the Tower Bridge)The return trip, nothing. Plus, no one tells you that you must disembark and wait 30 minutes to get on a different vessel. Not worth 20 pounds
