Originally built in the 12th century, the church was severely damaged during the Blitz in World War II. Rather than being fully rebuilt, the remains were preserved and converted into a tranquil public garden.
Leadenhall Market - Leadenhall Market is a historic covered market located in the heart of the City of London. Originally a center for the trading of meat, poultry, and provisions, it now hosts a variety of specialty shops, restaurants, and bars. The market’s charming, cobbled walkways and beautiful roof make it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Its picturesque setting has also been featured in various films, including Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, where it stood in for Diagon Alley.
30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) - The Gherkin, officially known as 30 St Mary Axe, is a distinctive skyscraper in London’s financial district. Completed in 2003, it was designed by architect Norman Foster and is renowned for its unique, rounded shape and glass façade, which resembles a gherkin or pickle. Note: entrance to the Gherkin is not part of the tour.
The Ten Bells - The Ten Bells is a historic pub located in the heart of London’s Spitalfields district. Known for its charming, Victorian décor, the pub has a storied past, including its association with the infamous Jack the Ripper murders in the late 19th century. Several of the victims, including Mary Jane Kelly, were known to have frequented the Ten Bells.
