London Country Tours should be your go to if you need a driver for your trip. - What a fun day we had to Stonehenge and Windsor with our driver/guide Steve. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in London at the agreed to time and Steve took us to Stonehenge and then Windsor. He provided commentary as we went along and great hints about where to grab a quick lunch in Windsor and the perfect pub for an after tour beer before we headed back to London. We planned the trip with owner, David Stubbs, who promptly answered emails and helped us efficiently plan our day. We would definitely recommend London Country Tours - specifically David and Steve and would use them again when we find ourselves in the area.

Great driver!!! - Our driver, Ash, was wonderful! Very accomodating. He upgraded us to a larger vehicle, knowing we had kids with us, which was great --- room to spread out and enjoy the ride. He was knowledgeable about the areas we were passing by and about the places we were visiting. He drove us safely and efficiently. Very happy with this driver experience!

Amazing private tour to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle - Our recent private escorted tour to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle with London Country Tours can only be described as amazing.. The entire day was customized and adjusted to our needs, everything from making reservations for lunch to drop off and pickup at each venue entry point.. The service was second to none. I would highly recommend London Country Tours for day trips out of London.

The best!!! - If you're looking to tour London and beyond, look no further than London Country Tours! We used them two days in a row - for different tours. Why two days in a row? The company we had one of our tours booked through cancelled at the last minute. We immediately called London Country Tours and they quickly stepped up where the other company had failed! WOW! Talk about excellent customer service! Both Alam (on Wednesday) and Darius (on Thursday) provided exceptional customer service and far surpassed our expectations - from explaining information throughout the tour, recommending places to eat and offering to making reservations, providing side excursions that enhanced our tour, to being flexible with our schedule. So accommodating, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and professional! Truly, I can't say enough good things about these two. Don't look any further than this company. Book it and prepare for the best! Wonderful Windsor & Stonehenge tours - Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Cliff was very informative and attentive - and provided great tips and anecdotes. It was wonderful to have enough time to visit both Windsor and Stonehenge. Incredible sites!

Wonderful day trip experience! - The tour was fantastic. Graham was knowledgeable and made the long stretches of driving fly by. We did the Windsor and Stonehenge trip (however we decided to forgo a pub lunch and grab a sandwich on the go to hit Salisbury as well). Graham took care of us at each site with instructions and insider tips. The vehicle was lovely and the caramels delicious!

Beware! - Beware! We booked private guided tour with Dave the owner. Without prior notice, Dave sent another person (5-star) to meet us who told us he is NOT a guide. Wonderful driver - not a guide. Also their website indicates they do NOT subcontract- then why did driver bill us to his private company and not Dave’s company? Not sure what we paid for - however from correspondence it appears we paid for a driver/guide. I’m big on honesty and full disclosure!

NOT A GUIDED TOUR - Had a wonderful time at Stonehenge and Windsor Castle and highly recommend visiting those sites, but note this package is NOT A GUIDED TOUR. Basically it just a driver for the day to take you to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. You NEED TO BY TICKETS TO BOTH IN ADVANCE ON YOUR OWN or there may not be availability the day of and at the time you want which wasn't very clear to me either. Our driver was very nice and on time, but the fact this is listed as a "private guided tour" is misleading. For this reason I would not recommend. Just hire a driver for the day.

Not what was expected! - We were expecting a guide/driver but instead had a driver. Our driver was very good - and I would give him 5 stars as he got us to both sites and gave us assistance to avoid lines. He was very nice but he was not a guide. When he arrived, he stated that the guide that was supposed to be with him was ill. Not sure I believe that as we were expecting a guide/driver in one - and the seat where this person would have sat was filled with supplies. The drive did offer tour books and an ipad to show you tube videos about the sites but we could have provided that on our own. Again, the driver was good. We just expected more from tour company based on the description of the tour and money paid. I only gave 3 stars because tour company was very responsive when contacted prior to tour about tickets required etc.

Misrepresented description of the trip - This was not a “private guided tour.” Driver didn’t guide us at all. He was basically a private driver who drove us to Windsor, a lunch spot, and then to Stonehedge. Although he was a super nice guy and a great driver (and provided us with waters and kept us on time), we got the sense that he was new to the job. Literally gave us no commentary about what we’re seeing or where we were. And most disappointing was that he dropped us at the back entrance to Stonehedge which resulted in a 20 minute walk to the entrance in the heat. He had no knowledge of where the main entrance was or that there was a whole visiting center where we needed to pick up our actual tickets. He was able to find us at the right pick up spot but we found it strange that we were informing him of the visitors center. This was an expensive day and we expected both driver and private tour. But only got a driver.
