Excellent 2 hour Sherlock Holmes walking tour - Our daughter bought this tour for my partner who is a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes and he wasn't disappointed. Our walking guide Jonathan was brill, you can feel his passion for the fictitious character Sherlock Holmes and the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The sights were amazing. Jonathan used pictures relevant to parts of both the film and TV series adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. He covers the first films with Basil Rathbone and the more up to date films with Robert Downey Jr also the TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. He also added bits of information on British history along the way. The tour took about 2 hours. Starting point outside the Criterion Theatre, right outside Piccadilly Circus tube station. Finishing at Somerset House The Strand. To sum the tour up in one word - EXCELLENT.

Enjoyable couple of hours for any level of Sherlock fan - Probably the highlight of my trip! Our guide was Owen - he was warm, personable and funny. The trivia and information was engaging for new and classic Holmes fans alike. Our group had a diverse age and cultural range but everyone seemed to have a great time.

Sherlock Walking Tour - Chris was a fantastic guide. He lead us through all the Sherlock sights with a bit of story at every stop. Along the way, we also got a little history on the buildings around London and even got a kick or two along the way. It was well worth all of the walking. After the tour we went back to the pub for lunch and checked out the museum. It was all absolutely amazing.

Great Sherlock Holmes Tour - Great tour! Ian was very knowledgeable and added a lot of additional history about the city as we walked. The focus of this tour is on the movie/TV show adaptations of Sherlock Holmes rather than the books for the most part. Highly recommend for fans of Sherlock Holmes.

Worth it! - On this beautiful day, we went on the Holmes walking tour led by Owen. He was full of energy and enthusiasm, not to mention knowledgeable about all the stops along the tour. We had loads of fun learning about the Sherlock filming locations and the canonical Holmes stories settings.

Very Disappointed. - We left this tour within the first 15 minutes as we realized it was seemingly about where certain scenes were filmed for the TV series and movie starring Benedict Cumberbach. We would have been more engaged had the tour guide introduced himself and given a preliminary overview of how our 90 minutes was to be spent...as other tour guides have always done. We have taken many tours! However, after a couple of stops near the Eros statue when he showed us pictures in his notebook and a couple of related building landmarks, he strode away down the very busy construction zone of Piccadilly without a backwards glance among us as we our goers mixed with the heavy crowd. Since we had no idea where he actually was (we had no sight of him) and no idea where he was going or where we would end up, or what to expect from the rest of the tour, we left, very disappointed.
